If it wasn't for the great young man who transported me, this rating would be a 1. The driver was almost 1 1/2 hours later than their latest stated pickup time. Thankfully, the doctor was accommodating. Then they were well over an hour late picking me up. The doctors office had to stay open late. Therefore, many people know what I think of their service and they saw it themselves so...word gets around quicky Lifestar, i believe you had better change your name or your practices The driver told me they work 12 hour shifts and he was late getting off himself. So he had worked over 12 hours by the time i was home The van is very difficult to get into if you are mobile, which i am not. The schedulers must not know what they are doing. No one called to tell me they would be late-- I had to keep calling fr status. Never again! The driver was courteous and apologetic. The management didn't care. more

They show up when they feel like it. Then when you complain they act like they don't care or do not want to here it. They never seem to be on time and if we had a choice trust me it would be with lifestar. Now for the plus side the drivers are always willing to help and are very nice. I hope they get payed well since they seem to be the only plus for lifestar.... :) more

Can you say disgruntled ex-employee? Im giving them 5 stars just because this guy below me is an idiot.....""directly over an exposed engine""? Do they give people rides on motorcycles? Citysearch should screen these before they post them.... more

I dont believe we are writing a review on the same company RyanH82. Lifestar recently transported my father to a hospice home and I cant tell you how wonderful these young men were! They were so caring about my father's needs and made him as comfortable as possible for the short ride there. They gave me directions on how to get there, told me about the place (which was beautiful i might add) and even went so far as to make sure he had his favorite pillow! The van was clean and didn't seem to have any mechanical issues. The people on the radio they were talking to were very polite and the drivers were all smiles. I couldn't have asked for a better service from anyone. I will use them again if a need ever arises. more

Please use someone else to transport your loved one. Many of these patients are terminal and taking the last ride in a vehicle they will ever take. Lifestar has vehicles that burn up to a crisp because they are poorly maintained. Patients ride directly over an exposed engine making the driver unable to hear the patient should they need assistance. Dispatch workers invite family and friends into the office where sensitive patient information is stored out in the open for anyone to see. A night dispatch worker was recently terminated for having multiple sexual encounters in the office with strangers he'd met on the Internet. The supervisors employ their own children and give them positions of authority, allowing them to oversee drivers and transport patients, despite the fact they were recently in rehab for drug and alcohol problems. Drivers have very low morale. They don't get performance evaluations or raises. Despite the fact that they are the ones in the company that have direct contact with patients, they are treated as if they are expendable often being lied to, forced to work long hours without extra pay, and being shorted on their paychecks. They are often forced to move and lift patients in unsafe conditions. Please think about this before using them to transport a loved one. I would not even allow this company to transport my dog, let alone my precious parents or spouse. more
