Great homemade pastas!! Wine list is not bad either. Servers and atmosphere are just awesome. Wine tastings are really fun. If you ever venture into the Manhattan Beach, you should try this place!! more

Awesome place for romantic evening 8/5/2010

Lido has a great food, excellent service, friendly atmosphere. I just love their homemade pastas, and good choice of quality wines. Their desserts are a really, really good - definitely would recommend walnut tart. The atmosphere at LIDO is always fun and relaxed - I enjoy wine-tasting evenings, salsa dancing, special wine dinners, etc. Lido di Manhattan is a great wine and dining experience! more

A Fantastic Wine & Dining Experience 8/4/2010

I travel to many countries with my job and I never miss Lido di Manhattan on my regular LA visits. It compares very favourably to the best restaurants in any city I've visited, for great food, prompt friendly service, excellent value and relaxed atmosphere. They also have a range of entertainment and specialist events, such as wine tasting, classy karaoke, intimate music evenings, dance entertainment etc - in fact Lido never fails to surprise you and provide a fun and magical ambience. The food is always top quality - I have never been disappointed whether it's a quick lunch or more relaxed midday meal, or a great evening wine and dine experience. Their wine list is superb! And don't miss their melt-in-the-mouth desserts - spoil yourself! The atmosphere is always great - as an out-of-towner I have made a surprising number of friends simply thru frequenting Lido and enjoying wine-tasting evenings, for example, or simply meeting locals at the bar. Kitchen Nightmares 3/8/2010

they are on KM tonight (3/4/10). the kitchen is really dirty (Ramsey stopped food service and ordered the kitchen scribes down!). they serve dozen pasta and tuna. I don't understand how they can get these 4-5 ratings. someone actually recommended the ahi tower in their review. were they that drunk? it does look like things are better after Ramsey's visit. I hope they keep it up instead of reverting to their old ways. more

A GREAT place to dine !!! 2/27/2010

While I live and work in Houston, we make it to Los Angeles at least once a year, and sometimes more. I wish the Lido di Manhattan Beach was closer to Houston so I could get to the Lido more often. A recommendation for the Lido di Manhattan Beach Restaurant is easy to do. Simply put, it?s great! The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed; yet still manages to be a place for fine dining. The staff is the nice, don?t rush us through our dining, and are there when needed. In addition to that, the Lido has an outdoor covered patio that is a great place to eat. Wonderful for Lunch or Dinner 6/30/2007

This is a woderful restauarant that never used to be. With new ownership, the menu and service have both gotten terrific. The food never fails to please and the service is outstanding. I have gone for group work luncheons and for small dinners and the quality is always wonderful. There is a soup there that my work group is still talking about! more

Good Dining at a Reasonable Price 11/19/2006

My wife and I have eaten here several times over the past few months and have had a consistently good dining experience each time. The food has been very good, and the service is efficient and friendly. We both like the clean, contemporary, and open space of the main dinig room, and the acoustics make the room quieter than average. The prices for the food and wine are very moderate cosidering the quality, The management is courteous and they make you feel that they appreciate your patronage. I highly recomment the ""Ahi Tower"" as an appetizer, if you like Ahi. If you are looking to have a nice meal at a reasonable price please give Lido a try. Pros: Good food, courteous efficient service, nice atmosphere, moderate prices. Cons: Haven't experienced any. more

3 time was not a charm 4/23/2006

the first time i ate at lido, i was estatic because the food was fantastic. the second time, it was okay but far from the experience i had the first time. i thought i would give it one last chance but the food was really bad compared to the first time! i was disappointed and don't plan on going back there more

Great food and service 4/13/2006

Very comfortable room with a beautiful patio. Many delicious entrees my favorites are the charbroiled filet mignin and the baked chicken breast both of which are drizzeled in a balsamic reduction sauce. Also a big fan of the chicken sausage. Its just one of those places that got it right and is continually improving upon itself thanks in equal parts to a hard working staff of people devoted to providing great service and to the new owner who takes great pride in the quality of her product. New ownership, great menu! 7/20/2005

I went back to Lido after the new owner took charge and the ambience is better, the food is better and the experience is great. I had the Ahi tuna entree with the wasabi potatoes and really enjoyed it. Being an ahi afficionado - that says a lot! It's a great place to go for dinner with friends or an intimate evening. It also has a great patio for large parties. A definite repeat! Pros: Nice staff, scrumptious cuisine, new management more

super pasta 1/29/2003

Lido is a wonderful restaurant encompassing ambiance with friendly service and superb food. I highly reccomend the pasta, in particular the artichoke fettucinni which is absolute Heaven although last time I dined there I couldnt find it on the menu but alas not to worry the staff are extremely accommodating and I enjoyed the best pasta dish ever. more
