Another Childhood Memory is going a waist 2/11/2006

Libertyland Amusement Park is another childhood of mines because I use to love the thrill being up in the air in flying high and the sky. I love the rollacoster in I still do and it breaks my heart to watch another childhood memory go a waist. Libertyland was a place for teens to make money over the summer in to keep them out of trouble but what will happy now when it all goes away this summer because they can't keep customers. They should make Libertyland an historical landmark because its been around for many, many, many years the Libertyland was around when my parents was younger like twentyone. more

Cheap thrills at Libertyland 11/2/2005

I was not impressed with Libertyland. The park itself and the rides are very run-down. We received free tickets to the park from the summer reading club at the library, otherwise we would not have ventured to this park. You will find Libertyland adjacent to the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. Libertyland is home to the Zippin Pippin, one of the oldest all-wood roller coasters still in operation in the United States, also happened to be one of Elvis Presleys' favorite roller coaster. The park is on a seasonal schedule, opens in the spring and shuts down in the fall however, I learned on the local news tonight that Libertyland may not re-open in the spring of 2006 for financial reasons. more

Alright for memphis 8/20/2005

This was the very first amusement park that I ever went to as a young child. It was very thrilling for a 10 year old and I believe it will do the same for anyone who's really not into going to large cities or driving very far away. The park has all of the pros of any amusement park including shows, rollercoasters, and trains. The price is kind of high for my standards but the good thing about it is that you can pay for ride access or not so if you have a mother or older visitor who doesn't want to ride they don't have to pay full price. more

Libertyland 8/18/2005

Whether or not you'll enjoy this place partly depends on your initial expectations. If you're a diehard Disneyworld, Universal Studios, or Six Flags fan, then you will most likely not be thrilled at Libertyland. But not everyone sets such high standards when it comes to a weekend diversion. If you decide to go, be sure to ride on the Revolution, the Zippin Pippin, and the Log Flume. Rumor has it that this park might close or relocate sometime in the future ,so if you're feeling a bit nostalgic, act fast! more
