I am going to counterpoint some of M Oxnard's accusations with what actually did happen to me while I was storing at this facility...\r
\r
First of all, I didn't say that the door was definitely unlocked at the time of the vandalism to my unit, however I DID state that the building in which my unit was located at had been left unlocked in the past, and I had to lock the rear doors at various times when I dropped items off at my unit.\r

Second, caretaker Evan Bernstein (not M) DID talk to the media in this Feb. 26, 2015 article from The Liberty Tribune... (http://www.libertytribune.com/news/article_ae06f264-8c42-59fd-8d65-acca866c03a6.html), and he also talked to my friends at KSHB-TV 41, and KSHB-TV reporter Lindsay Shively will be more than happy to verify that fact if need be. In the article from The Liberty Tribune, Mr. Bernstein stated that ""they (the vandals) also took a box of Playboy magazines"", when in reality, I told the detective handling the case with the Liberty Police Department that TWO boxes of my Playboy magazines were stolen by the vandals.\r
\r
Third, M says that there was a door 'pried open and broken into' during the vandalism - if that did happen, it had to have happened on the north entrance to my building, as I saw NO damage on the south entrance of my building when I went back there to retrieve my items the next day.\r
\r
Fourth, concering the lighting issue, M doesn't know what happened, as I never talked to M about it! I told the Bernsteins that the lighting in my unit was out for THREE months, and when they finally came around to fixing it, I was the one who helped Evan get the lighting repaired, as I was there most of the afternoon, along with the occupant of the shed on the left side of me helping him with the installation of the new light bulbs. The only time I spent inside my unit was to drop items off on a semi-regular basis. I did NOT use my unit as an 'office' (as M states), nor did I used it as a 'reading room' - I read my things at home, thank you! Yes, the cost is cheaper than what I am paying rent for at my present unit, but my present unit is only SIX YEARS OLD - Liberty Bend has been around far longer than that, and some of the light fixtures inside of my building look to have been manufactured in the late 70's or 1980's (at the latest.)\r
\r
Finally, I was not at that unit for 15 years - I was there from June of 1998 until Feb. of 2015, which to my recollection is over 16 1/2 years.\r
\r
I had NO problems with Liberty Bend Storage when the previous caretaker (an elderly gentleman) worked there, but I still stand by my previous comments about the Bernsteins, and like I stated previously, you get what you pay for! I have no idea who M is, as I've never directly talked to this person.
