Best Vet Yet 3/9/2012

We have been using Dr. Leonard for quite a few years, and starting out with 10 dogs we need really good vet. Jason is just that. He is really special when it comes to the very hard task having to put down a dog that is really a part of our family. We are down to 5 dogs now as our older dogs have passed on. No doubt in my mind that Jason Leonard is the best Vet we have used to take care of our CREW. \r \r Every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are. more

It's obvious veterinary medicine is his passion. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and charges only reasonable prices. He is a true vet, not one who is in it mainly for the money. We are so blessed to have found him. He has a friendly staff too. more

Dr Leonard the BEST horse vet in Mississippi. 9/26/2011

Dr Leonard is one of the best vets I've ever known TRUE PRO all the way! I think his specialty is large animals but I've found him to be great with small animals too. He has a great hand with High Strung horses and his prices ARE REAL WORLD. He is not trying to make all his money off one patient as some seem to do in this town :) HE is caring and thorough. I've been to every vet in town and he is BY FAR the best In my opinion. BUT if you are the kind of person who has endless money for unneeded tests and love to be a dog-horse-cat Hypochondriac then hes not for you LOL Dr Leonard is OLD school country vet. if that is the kind of vet you like then you will ADORE HIM!! 45 Years with horses and breeding dogs I've been to many vets and hes one of the best IMO. \r \r As for the few ppl that claim he didn't do this test and that Cocksitia (sp?) is something that is RARELY able to be picked up in the stool sample thus Dr Leonard did not perform another useless test to charge the client needle more

Dr. Leonard and staff are there for the animals and not just a paycheck. Dr. Leonard saved my bulldog with an energency c-section and still managed to save all the puppies too. He is a caring and knowledgeable vet and is also very affordable. more

Best Vet in Town 9/11/2010

We've been taking our dogs to Dr. Leonard since he opened his practice. When it's time for their vaccinations, he comes out to our home so we don't have to load them all up and try to manage them in the office. He's very easy to talk to and he's truthful. If he doesn't know something, he says so. If they need a specialist, he makes a recommendation. We think very highly of him, his staff and his family. more

Above and beyond expectations! 7/31/2010

I brought my new puppy to Dr Leonard today to get her 6week shots. He was wonderful with her and I was in and out really quick. His prices are outstanding! - Much better than any other vet I've ever been to..I brought the dog home after her shots and she started vomiting...I called and he told me to come right back..she was having an allergic reaction to the vaccinations. He saw me after the office was closed and told me if I ever needed anything to never hesitate to call...That's the kind of vets we need more of! I recommend him to anyone! He was awesome! more

Great person! 4/18/2010

Dr. Leonard is a great veterinarian. He's very compassionate and knows his patients by name. I've had several instances where I needed to see him right away and they always fit me in, no matter what. Also, very reasonable prices. Seems to me that Dr. Leonard is not trying to get filthy rich (like other vets in town), but instead, seems dedicated to his job and his patients. more

Best Vet I've Ever Met... 2/26/2010

OMG! Dr. Jason Leonard is the BEST vet I've EVER encountered! I used him pretty much from his opening, don't even remember how I ran across his office to begin with, but am sure glad I did. I haven't used him in the last 3 - 4 years ONLY because we moved back to Louisiana. But I can honestly say that if I had a major surgery that one of my animals needed, and I had the time to make the trip, I would drive back to Picayune, MS to allow Dr. Leonard to do it. I trust him, he's treated ALL my animals several times, saved one twice, then saved four that got into poison. He's always been very caring and informative. He's just plain AWESOME! more

Dr. Leonard Rocks !~ 1/22/2010

We happened upon Dr. Leonard on July 4th for an emergency for my son's dog. We are from New Orleans and have a summer/weekend home in Carriere. We have a whole host of doctors to choose from in New Orleans, many of which are top notch. However, due to the urgency, Dr. Leonard met us at the office on July 4th. She had a an infection and needed surgery right away. Dr. Leonard took good care of her and I am so pleased that he was there when we needed it most. In a small town it is refreshing to have such a good vet. We all know our animals are our family, and this is very important. He is excellent. For those who have had bad experiences, I am very sorry for you. But I cannot image the comment that they didn't care. This is by far not the experience we have had. Now, we wait until we are in town for their routine visits so Dr. Leonard can see all of our babies ! We appreciate you Dr. Leonard ! more

i have been to every vet in town and none of them compare to Dr. Leonard and his staff!!..i have been going to him for over a year now and i will NOT be going anywhere else!!..he actually cares about your pet and he doesnt beat around the bush when explaining stuff to you, he gives it to you straight up!!.. i have used him for all our animals, from goats to dogs to guinea pigs..all the way down to a chicken!!..he really knows what he's doing and im glad i found him!! more

Leonard Animal Hospital is GREAT!!!! 10/16/2009

dr.leonard goes out of his way for you and your animals! He is VERY reasonable on his prices and genuinley cares about your animal. We have used him for a year now and have referred people to him. He knows his patients, not just by the name on the file! We had a dog that had a freak accident happen to her shortly after having pups. he exhausted every option he could to save her life..or give her the best quality of life she could have left. Unfortunatly she passed but not for lack of treatment or care..it was just her time. I would refer him to EVERYONE..He is a GOOD vet!!! more

Leonard Animal Hospital is great 10/9/2009

We have used Dr Leonard for our horse, cats and dogs. He is great whether it was making an emergency farm call or office appoinment we can always count on the Dr. and his staff. I am sorry if anyone had a bad experiment, but if he was perfect her would not be here in the first place. more

Leonard Animal Hospital is WONDERFUL 9/16/2009

We use Dr. Leonard as our vet for our horses. He is GREAT! I wouldn't use anyone else. I'm sorry for the person who lost their pet, but perhaps they didn't know the whole story. My best friend's little dog was attacked by a Pitt bull and she brought him in for emergency treatment. He was very caring and understanding when the dog didn't make it. You'll never be able to please everyone all the time, and no one is perfect. Not even Vets and or Human Dr.s for that matter. more

Great vet.. 5/26/2009

I'm so sorry for the person who lost their pet... I would probably be upset too if I didn't think the Dr. addressed the problem. Whatever happened, my experience with Dr. Leonard has been wonderful. He seems to really care about animals and is always available if something is urgent. He treated my dog for heartworms and she came through it well. I plan to keep taking my pets to him. more

Excellent and caring 1/21/2009

I just bought a shih tzu puppy that was blind and Dr. Leonard has shown great care and compassion with my puppy. I would not dream of taking him anywhere but to Dr. Leonard. I also would like to say that he is very reasonable priced vet and manages to squeeze me in whenever possible on any last minute things. more

I was new in town and stumbled upon this vet in an emergency situation. They took me right in no questions asked and treated me and my baby like we were regulars. Very caring staff and excellent doctor! Also I want to add that they are exceptionally reasonable with their prices. I will always return to Dr. Leonard! more
