Dissappointing lunch 11/20/2002

I recently visited Lemon Grass with a group of co-workers for lunch. We were seated at a drafty table close to the door and had to keep our jackets on to feel halfway comfortable. The service was slow in spite of a fairly empty restaurant. The lunch special were definetly not a bargain. The portions were small, and overzealous decorations on my plate could not make up for the fact that a Pad Thai, priced at $9, could not nearly satisfy my appetite. Apart from portion size, the food tasted good. I especially recommend the Coconut soup. Pros: downtown location, ample street parking Cons: slow service, small lunch portions, cool and drafty more

Life Outside 11/13/2002

Life outside of Bangkok Thai DOES exist! For a while there I thought maybe there was only one place in SLC for quality Thai. Last night I learned otherwise. This place is great! The ambiance was very nice and the service courteous. The food was impressive. We enjoyed the Pad Thai and Panang Beef. Both a bit spicy, but well worth the pain. The Tom Kha was perhaps the best I've had. Prices were comparable with Bangkok. We'll definitely return. more
