NEVER GET YOUR ANIMAL EUTHANIZED HERE! I took my small senior dog in to be euthanized on a Saturday and the staff were very nice, compassionate and caring, but when it came time to inject the poison my poor little dog screamed in agony and struggled for what seemed like over a minute before he was gone. The exact opposite of a humane euthanasia. A bullet would have been more humane. They tried to tell me that it just ""depended on the animal"", but in reading the internet, apparently the solution burns terribly if they do not get the needle in the vein properly so I think that is what happened. My dog didn't make a sound when the needle first went in, so it must have been the solution they used or not being properly in the vein. Before we went into the exam room, we heard a cat screaming for about a minute and then later a tearful lady came out with an empty cat carrier, so I am assuming that was her cat being ""put to sleep"". More like tortured to death. I horribly regret taking my dog for his last day to be euthanized here, even though the staff were very nice. Maybe they use really bad cheap solution or something, but my other dog didn't make a sound when he was euthanized (at a different veterinarian in American Fork) so I don't think that is normal at all. Now I can spend the rest of my days hearing his screams as they held him down until he was gone. Horrible way to go for both the animal and the owner. I would never take an animal to be euthanized here from this experience, although it is probably okay for routine things like check-ups, etc. Never get your animal euthanized here. more

We love Dr. Chamberlain and the staff at Lehi Animal Hospital! I am surprised at the negative reviews. We have taken four dogs into this clinic and know that they will be taken care of. We appreciate the time and dedication that Dr. Chamberlain offers and really like that he explains things and then offers a couple of different treatment options for us. We feel his prices are better than other places available and he takes great care in the services they provide. We definately would recommend Lehi Animal Hospital for your veterinary care. more

Great Vet 8/11/2011

Dr. Chamberlain spent a lot of time with my animals, and was very gentle. I felt like I had his full attention and he listened to what I was concerned about. He gave me the option of going through with tests or a ""wait and see"" attitude (with out a guilt trip) which I appreciate. When I price checked I found him to be cheaper than others I called and it is conventient that he has people there to answer the phone on Saturdays. His staff is awesome and helpful and when I forgot how to give medication they were very sweet about reminding me. I recommend him. :) more

Untrustworthy 12/17/2009

We took our dog to this vet for a couple of years. It seemed we always left feeling frustrated or confused, they were pushy about buying medicines only from them and when we wanted to buy elsewhere they made a big hassle out of it by saying we needed to take our dog in for additional tests in order for them to write the Rx, Huh? Pros: It was close to our house Cons: Greedy and pricey more

Poor communication and lots of additional charges 10/15/2007

I took my dog in for routine procedures and a checkup before hunting season -- teeth cleaning, shots, and wart removal. I dropped her off and went to work. The only communication I got from the vet office was a call, ""Those aren't warts. Do you want them sent in to make sure they aren't malignant?"" When I picked her up, my bill was $700 and her leg was grotesque -- a 6"" incision to remove a 1"" growth, and cuts all over her leg to ""allow the skin to stretch better"", AND she has to wear a cone collar for two weeks. The aid told me to bring my dog back in a couple days so the wraps could be changed -- NO DOCTORS were at the clinic (Saturday), which was unfortunate because her foot swelled up the size of a tennis ball from the poor circulation caused by the wrap. We cut the bandages off, ourselves, to relieve the pressure. I took my dog in first thing this morning (Monday) for a followup. The vet charges an additional $17 every time I bring her in -- even if it's just to look at her! My dog is an energetic hunting dog and I've been to the vet dozens of times -- followups were always included in the original price. When I expressed my concern to the aid about the excessive skin removed along with the growth she responded, ""Having the sample sent in was an elected procedure. Nobody forced you to do it. If you had questions about what it involved, you should've asked."" Wrong answer. Even if the vet knew what he was doing, he should've called me -- he should've explained the difference between a routine wart removal and a major cancer removal technique (price and procedure). My dog lives for hunting season (starting November 3), and I'm not sure she'll be healed enough to go. He said, ""She'll probably be just fine -- it's not like she's going to be bumping into anything."" Hunting? That's all hunting is -- tearing through brush, reeds, and rushes! My experience with this animal clinic was terrible, and I'm never going back. Pros: Good weekday office hours, clean facility Cons: TERRIBLE communication, $17 followup charges, no vets in on Saturdays more
