Don't trust Leesville Animal hospital. They will lie to you. They don't keep their appointment times.\r Most of the employees don't care about service.\r They will lie to protect themselves.\r \r No one seems in charge.\r I can only Strongly recommend that you don't take your pet there.\r \r Brad Gambrell more

We boarded our dog here over a period of 11 days and when we brought her home she had developed a bladder infection, which she has never had in her 9 years. To me that indicates that she was not taken out enough (we normally only take her out 2 times a day)! When I called to see how they would handle it, I was polite, but they said it was only ""a coincidence"" and we'd be charged full price to get it checked out. No discount, nothing. Forget it! more

Extremely Disappointed 9/23/2013

I have never been more disappointed in my dogs' boarding experience. I was advised over the phone that my male dog needed antibiotics due to being in a fight on Wednesday. I picked them up today from Leesville Animal Hospital? and was told that the caretaker lost control of my male dog and dropped the leash which allowed the two dogs to come into contact. This was an extremely unfortunate situation considering the fact that I specifically requested that my dogs be kept separate from other dogs. I voiced my concerns about being charged for the antibiotics since 1. I was not advised of a cost during the initial phone call from the vet on site 2. the pet handler responsible for my dogs was the one who lost control of him. The vet/owner on site felt as if I should still be responsible, which is fine. I paid the $36 this one time but the $500-$1000/yr I spend on my dogs' boarding and vet care will be moved else where. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of being charged for something that more

I feel uncomfortable with the idea of being charged for something that could have been avoided in the first place and the way that this situation was handled in general. I sincerely hope this does not happen to anyone else. more

Highly recommend 6/27/2013

I've been taking my dogs to Leesville Animal Hospital since I moved to Raleigh in 1999. They have always provided excellent care and advice. I had to put my 16 year old dog to sleep last year and they could have not been more supportive and caring. We currently have two dogs who we take there and they always get the highest quality of care. I highly recommend LAH. more

Terrible 6/22/2013

I have four pets that I have taken to leesville on occassion since it is convenient, after my last experience I wont be back again. The staff was very helpful but as I was leaving with an unexpected increase in my bill I questioned the vaccines that were being given because I go elsewhere half the time, after being explained my charges by the owner himself, I witnessed a representitive in the parking lot giving that same doctor I spoke with before leaving (Dr. Pearce) and he was taking in a massive amount of alcohol into the building, now where it went from there can only be my assumptions. After witnessing that and price checking other Animal Hospitals in the area I knew I was being overcharged and could have saved atleast another 50$ if not more going elsewhere but the fact that I saw for myself where the extra money was going ( to the owner's personal habits) It discouraged me from going back. more

A caring place for your animal 3/18/2013

Our dog is almost fifteen years old. She has been going to Leesville her entire life. She loves going there for kennel stays or grooming. Over the years I'm sure we've used all of their many services - even hydro-therapy after two knee surgeries.\r The staff has always been lovely, the docs have always been informing and caring. \r I have recommended Lessville Animal Hospital repeatedly and will continue to do so. more

Excellent Care! 3/15/2013

We have a mini schnauzer and have been in Raleigh almost 5 years. During this time we have been to at least 4 vets in North Raleigh. What we like most about Leesville Animal Hospital is that they never push unnecessary tests and services. The care is excellent and we use their boarding and grooming services too. We are extremely happy we found them and highly recommend them to our friends! more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE 2/28/2013

I have a Boxer Mix, who has been in the Leesville animal hospital repeatedly for the same issues. The doctor left sutures inside of my animal, and now I am having to pay a different vet to fix the original problem. Harold Peirce, the owner of this clinic, is a very rude man, and does not care to make right errors that his staff has created. If you like fixing the same problem multiple times and being charged for their mistakes, then this place is right for you. If you want professional treatment for your animal from people who care, PLEASE go somewhere else.\r \r Just in case you have a hard time believing me, here is an exact copy of the email Harold sent me after we discussed what I consider malpractice in his clinic; the man didn't even bother to address me by name or sign his own. He is clearly not a professional; this is exactly how YOU will be treated @ LAH:\r \r here is a copy of surgery report - 2/0 pds is an absorbable suture\r \r Procedure/Comments: large draining wound excise more

My dogs love LAH 2/8/2013

I have 5 dogs that have been going to LAH for the last 10 years. The doctor they see is great. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She knows my dogs' histories and always answers any questions I have. I would recommend LAH to anyone. more

Lesson Learned 1/5/2013

I wish I would have checked this site before taking my pet to LAH. As reported by many users here they have frivolous charges. The value here is well below what I would accept. I will never bring my pet here again. Lesson learned. more

RUN 10/11/2012

RUN FROM THIS PLACE. Leesville Animal Hospital is fine if you don't need a compitent vet. We took our new puppy to them. He had cacedia...they treated him for 2 months using the same medicine over and over. Then for fun decided to change his diet and give antibiotics. We still had a sick puppy. Our breeder sends us a 2 day dose of a different medicine...and our puppy was cured. I woul not take any animal that you love to this vet. You will spend hundreds I'df dollars and still have a sick pet. They over charge and under perform. more

nicest vets in Raleigh 6/28/2011

I came to Leesville many years ago after another vet suggested I make my cat an "outside cat". I can't recommend them enough. They've been absolutely wonderful to Sasha and treat her as they would their own pets (giving her brushing and treats while she's boarding). The vets always take the time to explain anything (illness, medication, tests needed) and call at home to check up on her. I'm very happy with LAH and, more importantly, so is Sasha. more

Leesville Animal Hospital is the BEST!!! 6/11/2011

LAH is THE BEST. \r They were recommended to me by my ex boyfriend who took his dog to LAH. He was the kind that would only expect the best out of any business especially if it concerned his pets. \r \r I've been taking my 2 kitties to them since then and had problems with one of my kittes recently loosing weight and drooling. After Dr. Pearce did a biopsy we found out she has oral fibrocarcinoma.\r \r Dr. Pearce and his Staff have been SO wonderful during this tough time. Dr. Pearce gave me some options which I've decided to have him do some surgery to try to remove as much as he can to prolong her life some more. I don't have kids so my kitties are my babies...I love them more than words can ever express and I wouldn't let anyone else touch them other than LAH. \r \r If you love your pets as much as I do, I can't recommend LAH enough. The whole Staff is like Family, they have so much compassion for what they do and do an excellent job taking care of the Furry Babies. Thank you LAH fo more

Mrs. Cummings 4/9/2011

I first brought Jack for the doggie day camp and ended up changing to Leesville for Vet services also. I have been very satisfied and consider the staff part of our family. Jack loves you guys and loves going to camp. I am also very satisfied with Dr. Neligon and her care. I changed from another vet that I had been going to for appr. 20 yrs. I do not regret the change at all and will continue to use Leesville. It's Jack's home away from home. more

Highly Recommend Leesville Animal Hospital 3/13/2011

We have been going to LAH since Dr. Pearce opened the practice in 1988. We have had 5 dogs over this period of time and they have all been extremely well cared for by the doctors and the staff. Both Dr. Pearce and Dr. Neligon are excellent. When one of my labs tore the ligament in his knee Dr. Pearce spent almost 30 minutes talking with me and explaining the various surgical options. Our other lab has had serious liver problems and Dr. Neligon has spent many, many hours caring for Abby, researching treatment options, and checking in with us to see how she is doing, and I am glad to say that she has completely recovered. Years ago when we had to put down one of our dogs, Dr. Pearce came out to the car so that I did not have to move my dog. My dogs love going to the clinic because they are teated so well, and I have always received the most professional, curteous and compassionate care from LAH. I plan to be a client as long as I have pets. more

11 years and counting 3/4/2011

We have been going to LAH for 11 years and 2 dogs later I absolutely love them. We have a lot of issues with our current dog who is a rescue and they have hung in there with us every step of the way and as a result our dog is healthy and happy and still a little crazy. more

Great Vet 3/2/2011

I have been going to LAH for 19 years. We have had three dogs over this period of time and the dogs love going there. We board the dogs, very convenient and excellent care. We had to put one dog down. The staff was very professional and caring. When we got a new puppy, we went there for training. Great service and truely care about my dogs. I highly recommend LAH, Dr. Pearce is great and the staff is very caring. more

Excellent care for a very shy dog 11/30/2010

After bad experiences at other vets, LAH was my 4th attempt to finding excellent care for my dog. My dog is very shy and it takes time for her to warm up to people. LAH has always made time for my dog on short notice. Dr Neligon is absolutely wonderful whom we always to see. Only if Dr N is unavailable on short notice do we see another doctor. But I have discovered that she does check in on her "patient." I've been to more expensive vets, I'm been to less expensive. I prefer LAH for their compassion and understanding towards not only my dog, but to me when I call all upset. We walk in, they know my dogs name. We have always received excellent care, but then I'm very proactive in letting the know my expectations, as well as listening and learning from them. I had one bad experience with one doctor who is no longer there. I refused to see her from that point on. Problem solved. more

One of the Best 10/27/2010

We've been taking our dogs to Leesville Animal Clinic for over ten years. They were with us with our first dog died and were very helpful and compassionate. Dr. Pearce and his staff are doing a great job with the two dogs we have now. They are knowledgeable, curteous, and take the time to explain what is going on. It's clear to me they care about our pets and want what's best for them. more
