Lee's Caribbean Restaurant

We checked out Lee's last night and got some takeout J e r k Chicken and Curry Goat. Each came with a choice of rice styles (steamed or rice and peas). The rice and peas were good, but not quite the same as in Jamaica. The chicken was kind of sauce heavy and clearly was not cooked on an ""oil drum"" grill like in Ja, but it was spicy and fabulous. The service in the joint was a little Jamaican, but way faster still than actually on the island. Plantains were absolutely great. Curry goat is spicy as heck, but man was it delicious. A informal setting with a seating capacity of about 24. A young lady takes orders from behind a counter and passes it back to the preparer. Customers have the option of having their meal to-go or served at their table within a few minutes after ordering. The order-taker/waitress has a severe attitude problem. On my first visit I wasn't greeted but ignored it. As I stood looking at the menu mounted on the wall behind the counter to decide on an entree, she just steered at me with her pad and pen as if it was a chore to be there. I even asked about snack size items on display since she offered no help and was met with smart remarks, an indifferent tone and behavior. My second visit, with a couple of friends this time, was no different. Otherwise, the food tastes good and the value is acceptable.
