Since you are an armenian(the opposite of a calvinist) and you are so concerned for souls, why did you destroy the outreach program? Since you are so concerned for souls tell us how many people LBC has baptized since your ""civilized outburst "" which in your own words was in a biblical manner and done because of your ""love"" for the church? LBC really is a warm place to be. It is unfortunate that the local church has had to undergo some cleansing, but God is in control. It is unfortunate that people like jpembrook, who claims to have been a visitor one Sunday when things went badly should be allowed to spread his rumors about the church. Bad people do bad things. For those who witnessed it publicly, you might not be able to determine exactly what is happening, but that gives you no right to draw your own conslusions falsely and publish them. Jpembrook points to the man who left the church that Sunday and he accuses that man and condemns him. If only you knew, jpembook. Since you don't know, just remember that God will hold you too, responsible for every idle word you utter. Before you accuse the church of running off three pastors, you should have prayed and sought the wisdom of God. Were you ever interested in what God has for you? In the end, its a personal relationship with God that will count--not your judgment of others nor your lies about people being in church who wanted to join but will never go to church again; new Christians who will never go to church again; or you as a visitor who will never go to church again. First of all, your mouth gives you away. You used too many churchy words to have been just a visitor. You sound more like a cloud without rain to me. No dedicated man of God is going to lay down when others come along and try to convince him to agree that God doesn't love all men. Man has always had a choice! A calvinist denies that. This gentleman claims to have spoken in love? He left the church screaming and in disarray. There were people there that Sunday ready to commit to Christ that will never ever attend church again. There were people who were new Christians there that will never come to church again. There were visitors there that Sunday (me) who will never go to that church again. Congratulations. Instead of handling a dispute with an elder behind closed doors in a scriptural manner -- a self serving arrogant public spectacle was made (in collusion with several others who no doubt knew) and a church was ruined. Congratulations -- job well done. I wouldn't come near this place with a ten foot pole (they have ran their last 3 pastors out of town). Love ... ha!! After many years away, I was able to return to this warm and friendly church. The love of the Lord is evident in all they do. Though there have been a number of changes, the goal ito share Christ with everyone and to love one another as we are commanded in scripture, has never changed. If you are looking for a church home, I know the righthand of Christian fellowship will be extended to you. It is my prayer that you will feel welcomed and loved. more

I noticed the ignorant comment of one person accusing ""one"" person for saying the pastor was a Calvinist, while having the church crucify him on a Sunday morning. I call it ignorant because I'm sure that self-righteous person was referring to me. What that poor soul doesn't know is that just the night before that Sunday morning, that pastor alligned himself with men who attacked that ""one"" man in a secret meeting because he was NOT a Calvinist. The whole mess came up because the pastor and a few of his followers wanted to convert the church to calviinist. Did you notice that the one man you ridicule disclosed that he was leaving the church that day and told them why? He wanted no parts of it and walked away in love. So if you want to stay home as you said, you certainly have bigger problems than LBC. Check your relationship with God more

My wife and I have attended since January 07 and we have felt very welcome and love this church family. Our son (2yo) does great in the nursery and the ladies treat him as if he were their own. Pros: Fellowship, biblical teaching, coffee connection Cons: would like to see youth grow larger... more

i saw them all but crucify their pastor on a sunday morning. then they ran the poor guy out of town because one man accused him of being a calvinist. it was the saddest thing i ever saw, if this church has jesus in it i think i will just stay at home. they fight and argue and are very two faced. if you are not like them they do not want anything to do with you. sad, very sad....even the sunday school teachers were mean to their little boy.
