A Great Love Story 1/5/2006

The Leach's are so intertwined in this garden and that makes it special. I am surprised at how many have not been there but it is tucked way out at the edge of the city where you would not expect such a fabulous place. It is free but the gift shop and plant sales help keep it going as do the volunteers. It is a great place to volunteer and learn about native plants. The plants are donated so I have purchased unusual plants there. Try to have a couple of hours to just enjoy this serene place. more

Nice Setting - Amazing plants 12/27/2005

If you love gardens and plants you have got to visit Leach! What once was an estate has opened to the public. The grounds are free and have well maintained trails to tour the variety of trees, plants and flowers. Volunteers have been working to identity them, but there are still some that you will have to enjoy anonymously. The gardens are on a hillside by a beautiful creek. It is a typical shady Northwest style garden with plants from all over the world. Take the time to also explore the home on site and come to one of their plant sales. more
