After being appointed as my wife’s Probate Court attorney Mr. Brear, according to his billing records, has met with my wife one-time and has spoken less then 200 words to her in fourteen months. After a two-hour meeting with my wife’s daughter’s boyfriend, he began promoting the daughter’s addenda. Within eight days after a Shasta County Court order restraining the daughter from seeing her mother expired Scott Brear began sending threatening emails to me that if I did not abide by the daughter’s wishes he would have my wife’s son and I removed as co-conservators of my wife. The Shasta County Districts Attorney has filed five counts of felony elder abuse and assault charges against the daughter and her boyfriend (Case # F 19-07823-02) Mr. Bear is now billing my wife for $2150 after showing zero interest in representing my wife’s wishes or best interest. There is currently a new Court Stay Away Order in place restraining the daughter and her boyfriend from contacting my wife and I, and Mr. Brear is still promoting the daughter’s addenda by assisting the daughter’s son in a probate Court hearing. The Courts should never allow this attorney to continue being a hand grenade in probate cases. Beware of this attorney. more

This attorney doesn't know what he is doing. He doesn't know the law. He will tell you whatever you want to hear so he can just keep taking your money. He won't work towards any kind of reasonable settlement as he want the fighting to continue so he can keep getting paid! So if you want to spend $25,000 and get nothing back but stress and aggravation, he is your guy! more

This attorney is worthless, he doesn't pay attention to your case . I sent him $2,ooo. upfront then heard nothing from him for a month.I told him what I wanted to do and he changed it around to standard Divorce paper shuffle.He is absent minded and I drove 600 miles and showed up at his office to see if he even had a proper office. He did not ive me a hearing date until I was sitting in his office .The hearing was for the next week after I showed up unannounced. There was no settlement conference just him wandering back and forth in the halls of the courthouse. I would not settle and he abandoned me after that, no switching plan , nothing. I signed on the last afternoon of the time limited offer the opposition gave me, feeling like I had no choice Painted into a corner. A waste of $5,000. I told him how much more money did he need lets go, but nothing I needed to get rid of him and take the loss at the start. He doesn't want to get you as much of what you think you have coming as what is the least amount he can get you to take to finish.
