Great Veterinarian and staff. Our dog is now 5 years old. Dr. Boehm has been great with her and was very accommodating when we had an urgent situation. 2 other vets are much closer, yet we choose to go here. I would highly recommend Laurelton. more

Great Veterinary Care 3/10/2013

I have a large and diverse “fur” family of rescued dogs and cats. They have all been patients of Laurelton Animal Hospital for the past several years. Dr. Jessica Demers is our primary veterinarian, although we have seen Dr. Kenneth Boehm on occasion. We have been at the hospital for routine exams and vaccinations, scheduled dentals and surgeries, serious emergencies and through the last loving act of euthanasia. It is evident that everyone in the office has a deep love of animals and really enjoys what they do. \r The staff at the front desk is friendly, helpful and welcoming. The veterinary assistants and technicians are kind, caring and conscientious. Their follow up was a nice surprise. I always get a call from one of the staff (sometimes more than one) after one of my pets is seen for an illness, surgery or procedure and their concern is personal and genuine. \r Dr. Demers is very knowledgeable, gentle and thorough and well versed in the most current information, medicin more

Saved our baby! 3/6/2013

Our 10 year old bugg was so sick a week ago. She didn't have a chance of survival without emergency surgery and the surgery was super risky, but we put our baby's life in the hands of the staff at this hospital and they saved her! They were a bit pricey but the care and time they took with our baby was worth every penny! From the moment we walked in we knew we went to the right place. The front desk staff treated us like family and made us so comfortable. The vets were very knowledgable and really seemed to care about our situation. They were also quick And called multiple times during and after the surgery to answer all questions! Some really amazing staff there! more

I'm GRATEFUL 3/6/2013

Much to my surprise and without being prepared I adopted a very very sick cat from Verona just hours away from being euthanized. After almost a decade of observing my two close friends with numerous pugs receive excellent care from Laurelton, they seemed like the obvious choice. Rushing in, Dr. Jessica E. Enes sprung into action and without going into all the details, basically saved his life. Upon coming in here to post my review, I've read other reviews. I was quite surprised by what I read. Words flew in my face like "greedy" and "insensitive" and "unprofessional". To you people that wrote your reviews, I've read them all front to back. I'm a stern believer in all feelings and opinions don't just fly out of the blue but come from somewhere. I'm SO sorry for the loss of your cat or dog. Sometimes a pet can be there more for us than a person. A pet can never let you down like people sometimes can. The pain of losing this can completely overwhelm and throw you into an abyss more

TRAGEDY 2/13/2013

I just want to say to the people out there, don't bring your animals to this hospital..We had our 9 year old Shitzu in to have a canine tooth looked at and we were told the best thing would be to have dental surgery by Dr. Demers,so we did.If Dr.Boehm would have done a biopsy before he even did the surgery our dog would still be with us today but instead he took out all his upper teeth on the right side and some on the bottom and he couldn't stitch up his gum because it was so deteriorated. All he did was bleed so much it was inhumane and we brought him in three days later and they got the biopsy back and he had Squamous cell carcinoma and was going to die anyway,so if they would have waited they would have known the surgery was NOT needed and we could have had our dog around for a couple more months, but due to his bleeding from his mouth and when he sneezed blood would come out his nose,I felt the right thing to do was to put him to sleep 3 days later. He doesn't know what he is doing an more

A Lifetime of Care 5/29/2011

The wonderful staff at Laurelton Animal Hospital cared for our beloved golden from the time he was a puppy until his death. They were always delighted to see him and treated him as though he were their own. When it was finally time for him to leave this world, we were able to have them come to our home and ease his departure. The vet took time to be sure we were ready before administering the final medication. Later, the staff made sure we had someone to talk with about the loss of our dear pet. After almost a year we're finally ready to welcome a new pet into our family and the first visit we will make will be to Laurelton Animal Hospital. more

non compasionate vet during pet crisis 3/18/2011

Dr. B is very mean and is not compasionate to be in service. He works not for the people and the animals but for money. Shame on him and his staff that goes along with him. more

Sad Day 3/17/2011

So cat of 16 years was put down....They gave him back to me in a fed ex box no fluids drained. Horrible experience. The cat was supposively fine according to women doctor (prob a dog doc). Ended up bringing cat to emergency room in Henrietta (Awesome but Pricey) he was dwindling. Emergency room had Laurelton keep contacting us. I wanted the cat to pass on naturally at home, but they kept harrassing us to put him down, but we couldnt even stay i the same room because we were so close. We wanted to be by his side at home. They harassed us for a week straight. After the fed ex box incident..they had the nerve to send a sympathy card saying they donated money to some fund. I rather them not give dead pets in fed ex boxes. They should put their money towards better personable service.[ not mentioning pets name because still assigned as regular vet as we wait to find a better cat vet] more

#1 Vet Hospital 12/7/2010

I think the world of Lauralton Animal Hospital!. I had my Kitty Sno for 15 years and they were absolutely wonderful to her. I was appauled to read the aweful review someone posted and in the 15 years I had been going to LAH I never once had a bad encounter. They were alway very accommodating and loving. Dr.Boehm and his staff are very professional and personable. To the person who had a bad experience, it was probably with yourself! , you lose one pet and they lose many pets and grow attached to your pets over the years just as you do. you are entitle to your opinion but dont blame them, Quit thinking about yourself for once, there is only so much they can do and they need to be professional and maintain composure when situations arise such as yours. They have to leave that office everyday feeling bad for each and every pet they have lost...If they didnt like pets they wouldnt be doing what they do. I Give LAH 4 STARS! and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU! I will continue to recommend th more

Terrific Veterinary Care 8/25/2010

I have been taking my dogs to Laurelton Animal Hospital for over 4 years now, leaving another vet that had no "bedside manner". As soon as I went into Laurelton I could feel the difference in the entire staff. At the time I had 2 new puppies and wanted a vet that didn't care what breed they were, and that's what I found. The vets were friendly, gentle and took time with us on each and every visit. When an issue came up with one of my puppies that required an emergency vet visit Dr. Powell followed up with a concerned phone call. I own 5 dogs, and they each receive the same kind, professional and thorough care. I couldn't be happier with Laurelton Animal Hospital. more

Great vets and great service! 8/2/2010

We have been taking Katie to Laurelton for the last 6 months and could not be happier with the friendly staff and vets. They always take the time to explain everything they are doing and treat our puppy like their own. more

HORRIBLE NOT ETHICAL AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/17/2010

Dr. Boehm is the most horrible miserable ugly man i have ever met. he has no compassion for animals that are dying and is extremely rude, i would not send my worst enemy here. i went here with my dying puppy, he slammed his office door in my family's face becuase we were crying and asking for advice and refused to give us any meds to go home with becuase we stuck up for ourselves. he is heartless and becuase it wasa 5 oclock at night he refused to do anything for us..does this sound like a vet who cares. i think not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DONT EVER GO HERE, PLEASE PLEASE more

Laurelton Animal Hospital is unqualified 8/14/2009

I took my 10 year old begle to Laurelton for a problem he had with straining to urinate. The Dr. there did $500 worth of tests said he didn't know what was wrong and sent me home with antibiotics. A month later the problem came back, the DR. told me I would have to take Snoopy to a neurologist because he didn't know why he wasn't peeing and gave me more medications. I took him for a second opinion where we found out he had prostate cancer. I had to have him put to sleep days later. more

Easy to find, great hours, loving Vet 6/30/2008

Our golden-doodle was spayed at Laurelton and we were very happy with the service. We researched other vets in the Rochester area that had higher costs and required overnight stays. At Laurelton, we were glad that we could drop off our puppy in the morning and pick her up that same evening. We also have inside information that Dr. Z is a very careful and conscientious surgeon. We think Dr Z is so kind and loving, and were comfortable trusting her with our puppy's surgery. more

Great Staff, Best Vet we've had 10/26/2007

I highly recommend this vet. Everytime we're in they take the time to explain everything in detail. Our dog was recently diagnosed w/ cancer on a visit that my wife took her to. Obviously, w/ her being 12, we had a lot of questions. We scheduled an apointment two days later and Dr. B sat down and talked w/ us for 30+ minutes and I feel if we had another hour of questions he would have sat there. They also always do a great job of explaining your options, and what exactly is going on. I also feel they wouldn't recommend this or that to make a few bucks. They want what is right for you and your pet. Class Act Operation. more

Mick R 8/8/2007

We were told by another animal hospital that our dog had a tumor that was most likely cancerous. We were told that the surgery cost would be near $1,000. We felt uneasy about this other vet and decided to try Laurelton on a recommendation. Our vet Ken was excellent. He reassured us and made us feel comfortable. The charges were 1/3 less than we were quoted by the other hospital. Ken was a life saver-literally. more

Dr. B is the best Vet EVER!!! 7/10/2005

We love this animal hosptial. They are up to date on the latest animal care. We took our dog their on a recommendation from a friend and we'll never go anywhere else. It's clean and doesn't smell like some animal hospitals do. The staff is extremely nice and caring. And Dr. B is the best. He remembers you from each visit and is very personable. He talks to you in a language that you can understand. I highly recommend this place! PROS: Everything about them is wonderful CONS: NONE more
