The best sewing shop in America! Hospitality and customer service are wonderful! Dave, Laura and staff are quick to come out to my car to help me in and out of the store with my embroidery machine. While taking sewing classes, Dave brings in cakes, donuts, cookies and ice cream for everyone in class. I am always greeted with a friendly hello and treated with the utmost respect. They have helped me sew much with my machine, answering questions and offering classes. I would highly recommend this shop! more

Today my wife went to the shop to speak with them regarding taking sewing and monogramming classes. My wife recently bought a used monogramming machine online and hoped to make some extra money monogramming baby clothing while she stays at home with our new baby. When she spoke with the co-owner Dave and told him that she already had a machine he said that he refused to give her classes or any assistance in any way. In fact, he said that if she ever had any problems with the machine he was the only Brother dealer in the area and he would refuse to help her. My wife was so upset that she cried because of the way that Dave spoke to her. After speaking with Dave myself and explaining that we can not afford the $800 machine he sells, he stated that he has to make money and he wont help anyone who wont buy a machine from him. My wife planned on taking classes through Laura's as well as buying all of her materials and a sewing machine there. This was the worst customer service I have ever se more

As an owner of 4 retail vacuum stores in Palm Beach County with a small sewing repair department of my own, I can't recommend Laura and her staff highly enough. We have been sending our customers to Laura's for repairs on computerized sewing machines and also for classes for years and have heard nothing but rave reviews. There are closer sewing stores in our area to send customers to, but it is well worth the trip from anywhere in Palm Beach County to visit this wonderful full-service sewing business. Laura's Sewing & Vacuum is absolutely awesome!! I have never held such allegiance to any one store/shop as I do this one. I have purchased my Brother sewing/embroidery machine there along with several other accessories and notions. Laura even helped me pack my old machine that I sold on my own to an out of state person. I send everyone I know in need of sewing machine services her way and I do not hesitate one bit to highly recommend her to anyone. I have never had customer service at the level provided by them. Every time I go into their store no matter how long between visits they all remember my name. more

Laura's is one of the best shops in our area. I have purchased several items - some of which they had to order. Whatever I have purchased, (machine feet, accessories, quilting notions) has been the right item each time (no returning or guess-work needed). One time, I went in looking for 1926 antique Singer parts... and Laura HAD them-at a more than reasonable price. I have not taken a class there, but I have been onsite while classes are being held. There is much laughter and comraderie! The shop itself is clean, bright, well organized and just plain fun to browze in. It's a great place. For all of that, please note that Laura's is NOT a quilt shop. They are a machine, cabinet, vacuum, and notion shop that also does some fabric on the side. more

This is the nicest shop for sewing enthusiasts. They have every machine and accessory imaginable.\r The owners and the staff are courteous, helpful, will order anything you need that they may not have already in the shop.\r They come out to your vehicle to carry in the item (vacuum or sewing machine) for you.\r \r If I could give them 12 stars I would. Laura carries Brother and Janome sewing machines, and does repairs on all brands of machines. She offers classes and instructions in all areas of sewing and quilting. Laura also stocks a variety of beautiful, quality fabrics. This is, by far, the friendliest, most generous business I have ever patronized!
