Historic place and great for "Little House" fans 9/15/2005

This is the historic home where the Little House books were written. The museum contains artifacts, family photographs, Lauras handwritten manuscripts, and other items of interest. The gift shop is a must for big "Little House" fans as it contains books and other gifts and trinkets that are really unique. It is located about an hour from Springfield, but worth the drive. It does cost some money though and you will fork over around $10 a ticket for an adult. more

Little House On The Prairie 8/21/2005

This is the home of the author of the famous Little House books, Laura Ingalls Wilder. You can walk into her home and she how she lived with Almonzo. She was very tiny so you get to see some of the items she wore. There are pictures of the whole family and you also get to see Pa's violin. It is a very interesting place to visit. more
