Latham '76 Diner

Sorry Bob's Diner, me and my husband found a new fav late night option for diner food. A little pricier, but worth it. A wide assortment on the menu, though heavy on the burger and sandwich selection. But, its a diner, so what do you expect. Also, a nice selection of breakfast foods, which they serve all day/night. I hate diners that don't.... I had a very nice belgian waffle, with strawberries. My only gripe is that the bacon that came with was the pre-cooked thin as paper variety. ick....:P Otherwise, tasty, filling, and not too expensive. Unlimited refills on the coffee and soda, and appetizer, a delux burger with sides and extra topping, and waffle with fruit and bacon- $35. Not too bad. Will be going back in the near future. more

We were visiting a friend in Loudonville, and she took us here. Let me just say this, it's a diner. You're not going to find great steaks or fancy seafood. It is what it is. And what it is, is a good breakfast at a darn good value. If you're comparing this to Denny's, it's tons better than Denny's. But the bottom line is that it's nothing more than good diner food. I have eated breakfast in many restaurants in the Albany area and when I went to the 76 Diner, I was very disappointed. I had eggs, sausage, toast and home fries. The portions were small and the prices are expensive. For your money you can get a better meal at McDonald's, and that's saying something. more

Ok, be thankful that y'all got a 24/7 diner (no diner should be anything but). I can't tell you how many towns I've lived in where the diners have been open from 9-9...what the ****. Besides, the ""big breakfast"" rocks and they are really cool about letting you do substitutes. It is the Shaker hang out of choice kinda like Denny's on Wolf Road is Colonie's hang out... anyhow. No matter what time, you're hungry...this is the place to go. Quality and service aren't adversely affected as the late hours progress. Although their food isn't the best, it is very good. Think Denny's but much better. The place seems a little hokey, but it is kept impeccably clean. Sometimes the clientele is questionable.
