Very sad to see Candela go...and to be replaced by Las Rosas 4/3/2008

Very disapointed that Candela closed much less replaced by Las Rosas...Las Rosas over the past 2 years has gone way down in quality. The food was favorful, of high quality and service was very nice. My wife and I really enjoyed Candela....hope they make a return. Pros: Great food / great quality Cons: Closed and replaced by Las Rosas more

Interesting menu but I was disapointed 3/12/2008

I gave this restaurant a low score because I felt the Cuban dishes were lacking. I went here espeically for the Cuban food and it just was lacking flavor. I wanted to have my taste buds surprised and they were not. Perhaps I should have tried other dishes as their menu is very different with lots of interesting choices. I have not been back because mexican food is too abundant. I want Cuban. Pros: They offer live music and dancing and a very different menu. Cons: The Cuban food needs more flavor more

One of my good close friends is Cuban and his mom's food is amazing! I saw this restaurant hoping a nd hoping it would taste like his moms food ( which they are fresh from cuba basicly) and i finally got a chance to go there with my boyfriend. They start you off with a complimentary basket of tortilla chips and FRIED PLANTAINS,salsa and green sauce, which is awesome. The food is great ...tasted JUST like my friends mom's cooking. try the pork with the garlic sauce or Pillomilla or whatever it was called. thier rice and beans are excellent also!!. Next time I am getting the sampler platter! EXCELLENT~! Pros: Food,Ambience Cons: Service was tad bit off because they had 2 guys bussing,hosting,and waiting but still wasn't bad. more

Try the Pollo Tampico and Tres Leche dessert! The plantains were delicious, too. 10/28/2006

Okay, I have driven past for 7 months and finally tried a new establishment not knowing what to expect. I have to say that our experience on a Friday night was the most enjoyable meal of the entire week! The ambiance was tasteful, sophisticated, and inviting with softer, well appointed lighting and lively music. I felt welcomed and relaxed from the time we walked into the door and the staff was friendly and very professional - not intrusive at all - which was much appreciated. The food we ordered was generous, presented nicely and full of fresh ingredients - very well done! I am eagerly looking forward to bringing back family to sample Candela's lively fare! Pros: Ambiance, delicious food, great value more

Best Cuban food 10/28/2006

Everyone is nice. I'm originally from Miami, FL was was looking for authentic cuban food... then I found Candela's. Candela's makes authentic Cuban food. One of the owner's is from Cuba. Try the cuban steak sandwich.... heavenly... the beans... oh my.... I ended up going to there 3 times a week during my pregnancy... Pros: Excellent food for the price... Ambience is awsome... Service :-) Cons: None more

Sad this wonderful restaurant is gone 9/13/2006

When they went to a buffet style, I knew the end was near. This place had good food and the staff were always pleasant. I hope the owner reads this. My wife and I really enjoyed this Cuban restaurant. Pros: great food Cons: none more
