Exceptional dessert stop! 11/15/2009

Las Paletas is one of the most creative and delicious dessert stops I've ever visited! Unfortunately, I am a tourist and the only problem is that it is too far away for me to visit regularly. I went to the actual store for the first time not too long ago and I had a chocolate raspberry paleta (which was creamy and delicious)and I tasted the rose petal one - WOW! The rose petal one was very interesting! Tasted like I was sucking on a deliciously creamy rose petal. I would love to go back and try some of their other unique flavors and I look for them often while out an about during street festivals, since they usually set up a cart to sell their yummy treats. Las Paletas is what it says it is and nothing more, really. But that's not a bad thing at all. They have a stable of tried and true tastes--all worth trying-- that are divided into fruit and cream-based categories. Then there is a subset of rotating flavors, some of which are truly unique and surprising. My favorites have been tamarind, hibiscus, and rose petal. if you want a sweet, cold treat, you will not be disappointed by Las Paletas. Pros: Rockin' flavors Cons: Where's the sign? ;) more

The owners are warm and friendly, the prices are right, and the flavors are amazing! Try the guacamole or the hibiscus! Pros: Great location: grab a popsicle and stroll by unique shops! Great atmosphere, parking available, delish goodies! Cons: closed Sunday and Monday, no seating inside. more

I love this place. I saw it on the food network and I've already been about 5 times already! The popsicles are absolutely delicious...my fav is pineapple chili, cantaloupe, and strawberrybannanapineapple. Great as a snack in the middle of the day. Great Flavors!!! 9/13/2008

I love this place. I always look forward to eating paletas in Mexico and Central America when visiting. To me these are the best I have ever had anywhere. I love the flavour profiles( Corn, Hibiscus, and Cucumber Chili are my favorites). I am glad Nashville has embraced this business, since I find people here can sometimes be unwilling to try anything new or exotic. I wish there was some sort of signage and a little more parking, but service has always been great. They only except cash and checks, no plastic, just make sure you bring plenty cash because you will surely feel the urge to buy more than one. Pros: Flavors, price, service Cons: Do not accept credit cards, no sign, not enough parking more

This place rocks! Hard to find though. No sign or anything. For a visitor it was even a little tough to find with navigation, but well worth it! I wish I would have known that the show they were on aired this past wed :( I was looking forward to it. These things are delish, so do yourself a favor and try one, you'll love it!! You just don't find a better popsicle. Period. Whether it's traditional cookies n' cream or the exotic Chocolate Wasabi, it's all good! And at just $2.50 a pop, who can resist? Seriously, awesome. I'm obsessed with Las Paletas 7/31/2008

I wish more people knew about this place! My best friend and I have started referring to the popsicles as secret popsicles. If you can't make it out to the actual store or don't want to make a trip just for popsicles you can find a small variety of them at places like Fido and Baja Burrito. My best friend swears by the Blueberry Chocolate Chip (which, indeed, is incredible). I'm a big fan of the caramel and the cantaloupe (which tastes EXACTLY like cantaloupe...). Pros: Random variety, delicious Cons: 2.50 might seem like a lot to pay for a popsicle, but it's well worth it for the originality! more

I can honestly say that these popsicles are well worth the money. They are fantastic on hot days, always fresh, and there is never a shortage of variety. Once you find this place, you will never forget where it is. A suggestion from a seasoned Paletas customer is to take a freezer bag with you or buy one from them. You will never be able to get enough of these frozen treats. Pros: One of a kind treat Cons: Not enough hours in the day to try them all more

If you haven't been here and you like frozen treats, go immediately! (Just don't go on Sunday or Monday, as I have done sometimes - they're closed). There are so many delicious flavors to choose from, sometimes I get two - one to eat and one to take home - but of course I eat both of them before even getting to my front door. They're a bit pricey, I would say, but it hasn't stopped me from going quite frequently - worth every penny, in my opinion! more

if you love the adventure of trying new things this is the place to go. i have yet to try one of their creations that i do not like. they have all the normal flavors with pleanty obscure ones mixed in. there is definately something for everyone in this tiny shop. go on a beautiful day and enjoy your popscicle as you stroll around the park across the street. Yum Yum Popsicles! 10/30/2006

You really havent lived until you have had a popsicle at Las Paletas. They are the best kept dessert secret in town. The ladies that work there are so friendly and love to tell you about the different flavors. My favorite so far is Rosepetal, but I have also tried the HOT chocolate, chocolate with hot peppers in it! They are all wonderful and I have never been unsatisfied. Make sure you run by the ATM first though because they don't take credit. more
