These apartments are infested with bugs, and the management (Jackie) Is a terrible person to deal with. They will raise the rent on you yearly and you will be abused at every opportunity. Avoid these apartments like the Plague!!! You will be sorry if you move in to Larchmont Apartments!! more

Larchmont apartments used to be a GREAT deal for students going to ODU. Now it is a slum!! They are infested with bugs (roaches, house centipedes, etc) and the rent has been raised as often as possible each year. I moved in 5 years ago and the rent was 585 including utilities, and when they ""remodeled"" it jumped to over 810 plus you now must pay all utilities. The central air is awful (Loud and does not work well), the water bills are always higher then they should be for a small apartment....The worst part of Larchmont apartments is the Management!! Rude, mean, vindictive....if you have a problem with your place (leaks, bugs, etc) and you complain be prepared to be harassed. They will raise your rent, threaten you with eviction, come into your apartment unannounced and do inspections....Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!! There are MANY better locations with better apartments for a cheaper price. more

I lived their for 6yrs. at first it was a great place because it was cheap. it went up a little every year but it was month by month then when they remodeled it went up alot. Rent when i moved in was 600 when i mived out in feb 09 it was 810 and going up again. It is no longer worth the money look around you can find better for less. I was attracted to this place because of the short term leases and reasonable rent. I moved all of my stuff in and within 2 days I was greeted by a new sort of roommate: insects that rhyme with coaches! I complained to management and nothing of significance was done. These apartments are very old and probably have an underlying infestation problem. They have since remodeled, but don't be fooled. Remodeling does not prevent infestations. The remodeled units look like they simply got a quick paint job and a few minor improvements. I would consider somewhere else. These are really great apartments. Older style with plaster walls, and the air flows through them well. Central air and heat and hardwood floors. This is my first apartment and It's great. Just dont get on the bad side with the management and no one will mess with you. Everywhere is really clean and beautiful and cheap!
