I love to shop at local p laces. I hear they are redoing their store to make it brighter and to give it a small face lift. I would rather shop there than at those big box stores. ...

May not look like it, but one of the better garden centers 7/13/2007

The first thing you notice about Lansing Gardens is the condition of their facilitys. The buildings are obviously old and run down and not very well maintained. \r All of that aside, their products are actually quite good and very reasonably prices. my only complaint about their products is that they are often very poorly priced,and the staff at the registers rarely knows the correct price and often over-charges.\r On the other hand, it is one of the few places around where one can find truly unique plants,both annual and perennial. \r Just last week i managed to find 3 plants there that I had never even heard of {which is a real feat considering gardening has been my hobby for more than 30 years and i have worked in the nursery trade for over 12 years}.\r The bottom line is this: If you can over-look the run-down appearance of their facilitys,and can put up with the lack of product pricing, a visit to Lansing Gardens will most likely be a pleasant experience for you! more

Hit and misss. 3/18/2006

They are hit and miss. \r \r While on the one hand they have a very wide selection and their prices are very competitive. \r \r On the other hand the service is not always the best but i would not say worse than other places. The one thing that bugs me is that they do not have the best know-how that you would expect from a gardening center. So if your looking for general know-how on how to set up for your next project this probably isnt your place. more

ok quality 7/25/2005

I like to get some of my gardening supplies at Lansing Gardens. They are usually cheaper on their prices. I don't think that the quality of the plants is as good as other places though. I have had pretty good success with what I did purchase. The parking is ok. They could use a little more space at times. more
