AVOID AT ALL COST 4/16/2008

My visit was the worst that I have ever had at any restaurant! The service was far from good! I wish I would have went anywhere else but to this restaurant. For your own good avoid this place at all cost!!!!!! Save your money and go to Dennys because it taste a lot better and they treat you like people. Pros: Now you all know not to go here! Cons: I wasted good money! more

Worst place to have a party 4/16/2008

The service is not the worst but close to it. Server not trained to take care of customers. Food was tolerable. Price was high for the quality and service. We will not be back to the ""The Landmark Restaurant"". Very unhappy!!!! Save your money and go to the ""Golden Arches"". Cons: Thumbs really down!!! more

Best sit down dinner in the area 11/14/2006

Excellent service, on top of the excellent salad bar located in the historical kitchen. Very nice decor with an historical aspect of early Arizona and the food is excellent. Pros: The historical house and building with historical photo Cons: It gets busy more

The biggest, best and most diverse salad bar that I've ever seen! 7/10/2006

I take my out of town guests to the Landmark and they are so impressed that when they return it is the first restaurant that they want to go to. You can get all of the regular salad bar items PLUS quail eggs, pickled watermellon rinds, shrimp and everything you'd ever want. I am diabetic and when I crave a certain item instead of having to buy a jar or can and risk severely increasing my sugar levels, I go to the Landmark Restaurant and have a little dab of ""forbidden"" items and feel totally satisfied!!!! more

Best Salad Bar, Outstanding meals and customer service. 7/3/2006

We discoved the Landmark Restaurant June 2005 when a friend suggested it for a business luncheon meeting. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the food. We have returned several times during the year and continue to be pleased with the meals and the outstanding service. The Landmark has meals to fit everyone's taste and special requests. We have been watching our calorie intake and always find entrees that stay within our diet. more

The Landmark has it all...history, atmosphere, great food (variety and taste), great service 7/1/2006

Our family fell in love with the Landmark 19 years ago and we head there for dinner and lunch whenever we can. Each visit to The Landmark is like a homecoming for us. We've enjoyed seeing Don and Candy over the years and watching their children grow up and stand along side them growing the family business together. We never tire of revisiting their historical photo gallery or eating their signature dishes which always includes at least one visit to the salad ROOM. The Ellis family team has always made us feel welcome and so have the staff so we never hesitate to recommend our favorite valley restaurant to newcomers because we know they will be well taken care of. Pros: great food, service, decor and atmosphere; close in parking Cons: advance reservations for groups only / others go early to avoid crowds more

Luxurious Dining experience that is economically pleasing as well 7/1/2006

The Landmark Restaurant is by far Mesa's best kept dining secret. From the moment you enter this historical treasure and begin to ascend the formal staircase, your senses will be tempted with the fresh aromas of the exquisite menu and be impressed with the atmosphere. The restaurant itself, is a work of art. Pros: Excellent food, courteous staff, historical landmark more

salad bar, great food, wonderful customer service, unique atmosphere 7/1/2006

I first selected to eat at Landmark when I read a paper rating them as the best salad bar. When I arrived, I was totally awed by the enironment. High ceilings, flowered wallpaper, it reminded me of a restaurant I went to with my family when I was a young girl and filled me with wonderful feelings. That was just the beginning. The salad bar is enormous with both hot and cold items, great soups and some out of the ordinary offerings. The food is fabulous, from an old fashioned potroast to shrimp scampi. And the service, friendly, prompt, what you wish is everywhere. It is one of my first stops with out of town guests and I haven't had one yet who hasn't been impressed. Oh, and the desserts, if you have any room left, are magnificent. Often I take home part of meal for the next day making this a great value. Be sure to try it. more
