I would highly recommend this doctor's office to anyone. I have never met such a wonderful office manager (Melissa) and friendly staff. When I needed to discuss my bill Melissa brought me in her office and went over my statement in detail instead of discussing it in front of the entire office. All of the other medical practices that I go to never give me the timeof day! They are so helpful with billing and their hours are great. I love the 7:00am appts they offer. I have been a patient here off and on since 1976. I started using them as my regular doctor again about two year ago when I returned to this area. Obviously my childhood doctors have moved on, but I love the new doctors. The staff at the front desk is super friendly and very helpful trying to work me in for an appointment. My only complaint is the bureaucratic red tape that I have to go through if I need to speak with my doctor. I have yet to call and actually speak with him on the phone. I have to go through his nurse, who is not my favorite person on staff. There are some things I would rather not discuss with her, but I have no choice. I have been going to Lakewood for 3 years and the doctors there are the best i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They are caring and they listen. It's a family friendly place to go. I was most impressed with the knew manager at the practice. The old practice manger Zach was and IDIOT. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a family doctor. They work with you if there is a problem and they have saturday hours that are very convinent for me.You will be very happy at this practice. I had been a patient with this clinic for almost 9 years up until yesterday. Not only have they changed practice managers, but the staff turnover rate has increased. For the first time, I realized why this has happened. Not only was one of the clerks rude, but the Practice manager and the doctor who owns the clinic refused to address my issues with the practice staff and insurance issues that I had. I was not acknowledged, and I felt highly discriminated against because of not only my race, but my insurance preference. My child was in dire need of seeeing a physician, and I was referred to the hospital becuase the system did not show what I had on paper that my child was covered. After nine years of never being late for a payment, I was reduced to nothing in all of 30 minutes. Pros: parking more
