Don't use this company! They built our pool in 2001. They didn't return for the final inspection. We couldn't reach the company and finally gave up. About a year later, our heater gave out, the salt water system broke, rebar was coming through the plaster causing rust stains and the light stopped working. The repair company told us that the light stopped working because the electric wiring was placed below water level, burning out the light and creating an electrical hazard. We had all this fixed on our own. 10 years later we learned that the pool building permit was never closed and was left to expire, and that easement restrictions have changed. Now the permit cannot be closed until the equipment is moved. Last March at the urging of our contractor, they reopened this permit. Randy Wright, the owner, came to our house and told us he would move the equipment at his expense. He requested extra time to help him meet the expenses and in good faith we agreed. Lakeside made several appointments to do the job, failed to show up and failed to return our phone calls since then. The quality of this company's work has been terrible and they have been irresponsible and dishonest. more

I would say that building this pool was actually fun. I was provided a reference list of a few hundred names and my wife and I contacted about 20 of them, all over the Austin Area. Mostly we heard great things, (one customer complained about rain delays). What I like is that they all appeared to be honest reviews and Randy did not try to just give us the ""perfect"" list. Randy and his team were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions promptly. There were no hidden costs and the pool actually came in slightly ahead of schedule. Even now, a year later, if I have questions I can count on Randy and his staff to respond quickly. If you are considering building a pool these guys deserve a look! more

My family and I had a great experience with this company. Randy Wright was very easily reached at all times through the construction process. I would recommend this builder to all who are interested. I was provided with a reference list of over a hundred people and out of the 6 I called all of them were happy. Some of these people had their swimming pools built more than 10 years ago. The review saying Randy had no experience obviously is wrong! If I needed a pool built in the future Lakeside would build it for sure. more

We hired Lakeside to build our pool about a year and a half ago. From the start to the finish we had a great experience with this company. We were not charged any extra fees, paid what was on the contract and got exactly what we wanted. The guys are nice and have them in my cell saved for anything. Very willing to answer any questions I had even a year after construction was done. I would tell any friend or family member to go with Lakeside they really did us right. -Nancy Pros: Very atantive to my needs, very organized, there when needed more

Told us the pool would take 60 days. It took a year. Promised the kids a pool for summer. They finished it the following winter. I would recommend that you use another pool company that will share information and be at least close to on time. They left out lots of details that cost us extra as well.
