I've been to Lakeside Asia Cafe 3 times. Each time the dish I ordered exceeded my expectation. I highly recommended the following 3 dishes to everyone, Saute Shrimp with Lily bud, BambooShoot with Bean Curd Sheet, and Saute Chick with Chinese Pickled Cabbage. The flavors in those dishes were amazing. I havn't see a Chinese restaurant in the U.S. offer such authentic Chinese menu for a long time. The style of cooking has a southern chinese flair. Sauce is light and flavorful but not overloaded with spices. There is a hidden and mellow undertone in its dish, you'll have to taste it slowly to feel the sophstication of the cooking.\r
My coworkers order other dishes, they told me their dishes are savory too.\r

The restaurant is not Cantonese or Sichuan restaurant. As the U.S. is flooded with Cantonese and Sichuan style Chinese restaurants. If you are looking for that you won't find it here, although they do have some some spicy dishes. The style of cooking is more close to ZheJiang and JiangSu, the region both side of the estuary of Yangtze River.
Pros: Unique dishes
