I would not recommend Lakeside Animal Hospital to anyone. This vet office will overcharge you everytime you come in. My wife was the one that was commonly taking the dog to the vet since I work during the days. We bought the ""puppy pack"" when our dog was 8 weeks old and were told that this purchase included the neuter. Well when it came time to have our dog neutered, they told us one price on the phone, then decided that the surgery could not be done and charged us 100 bucks for that visit and said come back the following visit, then attempted to charge us $300 for a neuter that was supposed to be included in the $400 waste of money puppy pack we purchased. Well I was the one that picked up the dog so I dealt with the bill. A worm medicine that the vet tacked on to the bill (for worms that they couldn't even find) costs $85. I was already infuriated that I had to even pay to have my dog neutered since I had the mindset that it was covered. I googled the worm medicine and found the same exact tablets for 3.99 a piece. When this vet was trying to charge me $85 for 4 pills!!! That is quite a mark up eh? They then tried to to charge me $25 for another medicine that they tacked on to my bill. Well I googled that pill as well and found it for under 75 cents each pill. And they tried to charge me over $5 per pill. Thats more than human medicine!! I would have thought that the office manager would have handled the situation very differently since my wife takes our dog to the vet every other month but she handled the entire case very unprofessionally. My wife loves our dog and this vet knew that, so they told her whatever they felt like to get her to freak out and cough up whatever money needed to get our dog ""healed."" We didn't leave this place without a $200 bill. Its absolutely overpriced. We were also lied to multiple times. The secretary would tell us how horrible things were one minute, then the doctor would say something completely different...after 20 minutes of questioning on why we needed to pay thousands of dollars to have our dog TESTED for a condition when no signs were even present. \r
My advice to you:\r
1. Shop around when looking for a vet. You do not want a vet that is going to break your bank every time you dog gets sick, or a vet that is going to give you a list and quote of a solid 10 other treatments and medicine that they ""highly recommend"" doing to keep your dog alive. (Who's going to pick death for their dog??)\r
2. Do not pay the added hundreds of dollars in antibiotics, worm medicine, pain pills, etc. They are marking each pill up over 400%. Publix fills Canine Antibiotics for FREE!!!!!!\r
3. Don't take your animals to Lakeside Animal Hospital because they will COMPLETELY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.\r

I have proof of the medicine mark ups if anyone is interested in seeing the bills. \r
