BEWARE LAKESHORE LODGING! To rent a condo there, you must pay 100% by check up front. If you arrive and the unit is completely unacceptable (as happened to a recent traveler), you are out of luck. They will not move you to another unit, they will not refund any portion of your money. Read their web site carefully - there is NOTHING there about customer service or making sure you are satisfied. There is no guarantee or ""if anything's wrong, we'll make it right"" statement. Once they have your money, they are finished with you. Cons: didn't give us a condo; kept 100% of our money more

Gorgeous Vacation Rentals! Great for our family vacation. 3/23/2007

We love west Michigan's lakeshore and were happy to find a company that offers ""premiere"" rentals for the area. They had a lot of good quality choices for us. Many of the other companies doing rentals in the area did not have the same type of home Lakeshore Lodging had. They did not appear to be as clean or well kept. We chose one of their big lakefront homes and had a great time with the kids on the beach. Saugatuck itself was great. There was a lot to do and the kids loved the dune rides. Make sure to enjoy some of the unique shopping in the area if you visit. We will be back next year. Pros: Nicest Rentals in Area, Great Views, Friendly Staff Cons: A Bit Pricey more
