Reserved an apartment with deposit. Ended up with very serious health problems and could not move. Company kept all of deposit!! BEWARE!!!! more

Just moved into this apartment on Saturday and was beyond excited because of how beautiful the place was when I did the walk-through. I saw spider webs in corners and many other places in the apartment including the tub but I assumed that it would be cleaned up and some extermination would be done before I moved in. When I asked about all of the negative reviews that I d read on the internet, the staff woman quickly responded by saying Those people who post negative messages about us most likely got evicted, so they are angry . With that being said, I assumed (again) that my apartment would have 0 problems, at least for the next 6 months. Boy was I wrong. Upon signing my lease, I asked the woman with whom I signed my lease with if the apartment would be cleaned and she assured me that it would be spotless .\r \r I moved in (after paying a $45 carpet cleaning fee) to find spots in every room in 900 sq ft apartment. Don t get me wrong, the apartment is to die for and there is more than enough space for all of my shoes! But .more space = more bugs and there are tons of them. There were spiders in my bathroom and kitchen the moment I moved in and silverfish everywhere. I called maintenance and they are to come out tomorrow to spray but considering what I ve read in the reviews about the bug problem in these apts, I don t think that s going to help. I definitely regret not paying more attention to the reviews though. \r \r I don t see any other issues just yet, except the bugs. My only other issue is that the staff seems shady. The woman I worked with was obviously more interested in getting me to sign that lease than to be a woman of her word. & all of the bugs in my place are completely unacceptable. I really hope that I can enjoy the remainder of my YEAR in this place. The other staff members seem really nice and I hope that the entirety of all the reviews i've read don't show up while i'm here!\r \r \r \r more

Ok, first of all let me say that the apartments themselves are great. lots of space, washer and dryer, lots of storage, windows, PAID HEAT, pool, good price, ect.. But the management is stupid. They are complete idiots. The whole staff that works in that office are jerks!!!!! If you are over a week late on your rent you are charged double rent and if you are a month late they evict you and take legal action for what you owe the- which is the rent for the rest of you lease! No grace period! They always have an attitude with everone, several people have moved out because of them and their nasty attitudes. They raise the rent by a considerable amount at the end of every lease, and in short realy don't give a terd about anyone but themselves!!!!! The maintenance is ok, realy good for repairs, but bad if you have a noise complaint! The lake is ok, look preety, nice atmosphere but the geese terds everywhere and the kids realy can't play outside because they are so aggressive (several people feed them). And besides the stuff with the staff, matenance and geese, we had stupid neighbors as well. This is realy not the apartments fault, and realy i do comend them for evicting these people(by default-they did not pay their rent!). Anyway, the neighbors on both sides of us were alcoholics. One was a bartender and the other one was a elvis impersonator! There were a couple people there that liked to cause trouble but mainly it was a calm complex, we just happened to get caught between two losers! Also, there is a sister apartment community next door called eastgate woods, ran by the same management, I have only bad things to say about them, they are pure gutter trash, loud partiers! Anyway, all in all this place ain't the worst but it is certainly not the best, my advice move in only if you do not have children, and keep to yourself. Oh, and if you have a noise complaint, make an annonomous cal to the police,matinance will just give you a hard time and be a terd to you later Pros: washer/dryer, clean, spacious, lots of storage and windows, close to eastgate, paid heat Cons: The innapropriate behavior of the management, matinance, neighbors and geese. more
