I was a patient of Dr Silverman for several years until I moved out of Florida to another state. Our family is considering moving back to Florida and one of the conditions for the move is that Dr Silverman is still practicing. Dr Silverman helped me through a lot of dificult times physically and was mentally the best doctor anyone could ask for. Yes, I would have a long wait after my scheduled appointment time, sometimes. However, I accepted the long wait for the service. Let's put it this way... How many of you have gone to Disney World and had to wait for 45 minutes to an hour and a half to ride a ride that lasts less than five minutes? You plan your time for what is important to you. Your health should be whats important. If you get the service you need, then the time is worth the wait. Plan your schedule accordingly. Also, ask the nurse when their slowest times are and make your appointment then. Your wait will be less. If your appointment is at 8:00am because you work, what time do you think everyone else goes to work or takes their lunch. Be sensible. Dr Silverman is professional, friendly and a very kind man. Definitely, a doctor that goes above and beyond nowadays. When he got the results of my first pregnancy he personally called me on a Saturday with the news. Their office is closed on Saturdays. I don't know many doctors that would do that. For me, I was 100% satisfied with Dr Silvermans service and wouldn't consider going to another doctor unless he referred me to a specialist. more

So abusive with the wait time!!!! If you have 2+ hours to wait then Dr. Silverman is your Doctor. This is an ongoing pattern as I have 5 other family members experience the same wait time, who are no longer patients. Don't doctors understand what appointments are for? If you’re a doctor that likes to spend time with your patients… great, but make appointments 30 minutes or 1 hour apart not 10 minutes apart. Have some courtesy for your patients valuable time. It’s just plain RUDE!!!! more

I have been a patient of this doctor for 20+ years and have had nothing but a positive experience. Yes there is a wait, but he gives me all the time I need. Any time I have had a problem with billing or insurance, the staff has been helpful. COnsidering the fact that so many people are rude to them, I'm impressed at their ability to keep their heads up and be nice. more

They made me wait three weeks for an appointment as a new patient. I arrived at 10:30 AM. I departed at 12:15 PM and had never seen a doctor. This was to renew medication for diabetes, so the three weeks caused damage to my health. No intake procedure for a new patient. No on entered information into their computers. Just sat and waited and waited and waited. Two doctors, and in the TWO HOURS that I spent there, only about 8 patients. My appointment was for 10:45 AM. Patients were still taken in ahead of me at 11:30 AM. They even asked if I wanted to reschedule when I left. Right! Next question is if they bill me. I plan to cross file for the cost of my time off, wasted drive cost, and the fee the doctor charges for a no show should probably be applied against him for not coming to his own appointment. Horrible experience. AVOID. (By the way, the nurse when I checked in was elated they had a new patient. Doesn't happen often. I wonder why.) Cons: Total disregard for patients and their time more

The doctors here misdiagnosed me on more than one occasion. The first, and worst, was when I went in because my throat was inflamed. I asked to be tested for mono (as a friend of mine said my symptoms were extremely similar to when he had it) but the nurse tried her very best to talk me out of it, saying it was most likely strep throat. I was sent home, against my better judgement, with medication for strep throat. Pros: location Cons: everything besides location more

I love Dr. Silverman and Dr. Nguyen, but there billing department stinks. They screwed up and charged the wrong insurance because they waited too long. Not my fault, but yet they are trying to send me to collections, when I had valid insurance at the time. Wake up and take care OF YOUR responibility. Pros: Good Doctors Cons: Bad Billing more

Dr. Silverman has always been attentive and professional over the years; however, he appears to be handing the business over to another doctor. The new doctor (Nguyen) appears to be just as excellent as Silverman, but the quality of the staff has declined over the past two years. The front office staff and several of the nurses are rude, and they are impersonal at best. While I am impressed with Dr. Nguyen, I'm switching clinics. I've been a patient of Lake Howell for over ten years, but the staff's behavior is the worst that I've ever seen in a medical office. The script nurse pins prescriptions on a bulliten board for all the staff and patients to see, several of the nurses ignore patient questions, and the front office staff rarely speaks to incoming patients directly. Pros: Dr. Silverman and Dr. Nguyen are excellent. Cons: The office staff and nurses are generally unprofessional and rude. more
