Lake Grove Car Wash

I was really looking forward to having the inside of my car as sparkly as the outside but alas this place was a big disappointment. The price for inside and out is $22.50 but I was charged an extra $2.50 to have my Prius hatchback vacuumed and cleaned. I brought plenty of reading material since reviews had mentioned how thorough the cleaning process was but my car's interior was ready in 10 minutes. The attendant left big black blotches on my tan cloth interior - ewww and there were plenty of areas that were still dusty and marked up. I'm a neat-nik so my car was pretty clean to begin with so this shouldn't have been a big challenge for Lake Grove Car Wash. I also noticed (too late) that the hatchback wasn't even done. $2.50 extra for nothin'. Next time I'll pay $5.00 at Kaady car wash and do my own interior. If you go there make sure you examine your car everywhere and get your money's worth. more

I have gone to this car wash for years and have never had a problem until today. This is a story I felt I had to share: I purchased my normal inside and outside detail for $25.00, left my keys in the ignition for the interior detail. When the detailer said my car was ready I went to start it. My car key was not in the ignition where I left it. I asked him where my key was to which he pulled it out of the door and handed me a very bent key. I asked what had happened to my key and he said he did not know and that it was already like that. I told him that was not the case. I asked to speak to the owner and was given a number to the shop I was standing in. I repeatedly asked for them to contact the owner and they said they did not have the number. I then said I would wait. I called my husband and asked him to come down to help solve the issue. When my husband got there the detailer admitted to removing my key from the ignition and placing it in the door, but he did not bend it. The owner was still MIA finally we started to call the police to place a report and the detailer stopped us and said the owe would be there in 15 minutes. When the owner got to her shop she talked with her workers and then told us it was not her responsibility. She asked to see my key and she tried to start my car and could not get the key to turn. But again said that she knew they did not bend it. In the end my key is broken and unable to start the car. We had to go get the spare key from our house to drive the car home. With the spare key it started just as it should and the owner still would not admit to the fact that the key was bent by her staff. I could not believe she could not even have the integrity to replace my key or say a simple I'm sorry. Sure can they clean a car... but if anything happens know that they will not cover it!! more

I enjoy clean cars both the exterior AND interior. I have not found many car washes who clean interiors for you. The LG Car Wash has an unusual set up which does not appear to offer interior service. However, it does!\r The interior service I received was the best I have encountered in the Portland area. The results were that my car interior looked like new. My automobiles have been cleaned at this car wash for over fifteen years now. I favor it over all others because it performs excellent cleaning to my autos BOTH outside and the interior. I am a realtor who needs an automobile to transport clients and the auto's appearance is critical for my business to succeed. I have never been disappointed. As a matter of fact, practically every realtor I know who own high-end cars favor this car wash because of the excellent service it provides. Some realtors travel considerable distances because they favor this car wash. The employees are courteous and many have apparently been there for many years so they know what they're doing. As an aside, I know the owners of the car wash and they are very responsible individuals and the lady who owns it is there. Can you put ZERO stars. This is the worst car wash I have ever been to. I have given them more than enough opportunities, including talking to the owner/manager and getting a second car wash in the same day -- same results. THEY DO NOT CLEAN CARS. I have tried the interior and exterior cleaning. Both were bad. There was visible mud and dirt after every car washing from the level of the top of the wheel down -- all the way around the car. Yesterday I watched 6 more cars get washed while I waited for my interior cleaning and they all had the same dirt AFTER their cleaning. The interior cleaning left so much a wet finger could be used to get the interior cleaner. I had a special function to attend and wanted my car cleaned. I like to clean my own car but I did not have the time to do it. I went to the Lake Grove Car Wash and they cleaned my car so well that it looks like I just purchased it new! I wonder why all car washes in Oregon don't clean interiors of cars. Lake Grove Car Wash does it so well that I cannot imagine myself doing my owning cleaning ever again. I have an eye for clean things and Lake Grove Car Wash didn't miss anything. It took about 20 minutes but the time was worth it. I recommend visiting the car wash at off-peak hours, keeping away from lunch times. By-the-way, a nearby coffee/sandwhich shop and manicure service kept me occupied while I waited for my car. What a great experience. This car wash is the only one that I've found since coming to Oregon that makes my car shine both inside and out - just like California Sunshine! Lake Grove Car wash paid extra attention to my car and details such as wheel cleaning and wiping down my entire car. I think that a little longer wait was just fine because they do so much to your car and the detailing. Regular car washes just spit your car right out and leave details unfinished and looking sloppy. I would recommend Lake Grove Car Wash to all of my friends and family if they have an eye for detail. They treated me well and I had some excellent reading material in the updated Full-Service waiting room! My last visit to this car wash was poor service but I gave them a second chance and this visit was even worse! I spent 55 minutes waiting for an interior/exterior cleaning, which cost $21.00. In the past this has been worth the price, but after today I will never go back. Complete waste of time/money! I will have to re-clean the windows because I can barely see out of them with the nasty film they left from their dirty rags. The inside doesn't really look any cleaner than it was before. It took 35min longer than normal becuase 1 guy was there to clean 3 cars on the line with another 4 cars waiting (3 guys standing around talking to another guy on his break sitting in his car, and another guy on break just sitting there watching the 1 guy clean).
