I have been eating at La Unica since I was a small child and it is by far my most favorite Mexican haunt. Origonally La Unica was a Mexican grocery store that slowly evolved into the restaurant that it is today. The Maldanado family has been serving up wonderful authentic mexican food for over 20 years. This is where the local Mexican community goes to eat. Their breakfast is wonderful with many offerings well suited to take with you to work like breakfast burritos,. Lunch and dinner are off the same menu but if you are simply usure about what you want just order the combination plate and you won't be disappointed and everything goes well with a lage horchata (spice rice milk drink, you really have to taste to understand). La Unica is renowned for their hot tamales so grab some to take home or just to eat later. Saturday and Sunday have special menu items such as barbacoa, menudo (a traditional hangover cure) and many other special savory items. La Unica is simply a must go. Don't be fooled by rubber stamp Tex-Mex, La Unica is The One just like its name states.
Pros: Wonderful Food, Family Owned
Cons: Parking, Crowded at times
