Needs Anger Management. I Witnessed the proprietor verbally attack a nearby table and threaten physical violence. I'm not sure what the original dispute was over but the patrons affirmed numerous times that they would cover the bill, they stayed seated and kept their voices at a reasonable level. I couldn't hear most of what they said. But the owner stomped around the patio with his chest all puffed up and loomed up over their table repeatedly. All while yelling, cursing and repeatedly threatening his patrons. Plus at least 8 of the staff joined in on the assult. This lasted a good 15 minutes while the group wrapped up their check. When the group went to leave the owner even followed them down the alley.  It RUINED our evening. Unfortunately we had already paid. On the way out I shared with some of the staff that I found it very inappropriate and disruptive.  To which they TURNED on US! Very toxic. I feel sorry for anyone working there and would look into pressing charges if I had been at the table he attacked. Prior to all this the food and service were average at best and it was over priced. NEVER GOING BACK! more

Service was awful - waited 35 mins on our appetizer, needed drink refills throughout the 1hr 1/2 we were there and waited another 35 mins for the server to check on us after our main course came out. Wonderful evening with Portabello mushrooms and filet mignon. Service was very good and the place was packed. We shall return for a second sampling very soon. I recommend this establishment for a nice evening out for dinner. more

I had a steak and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Can't say enough about it. The Steak just melted in my mouth. My wife had a pasta dish with portabello mushrooms and it was also wonderful. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Pros: steaks more

La Trattoria used to be one of the greatest little places in Greenwood where you could dine in or outdoors and get one of the best steaks in town. Never have been impressed with their italian, but the steak used to be outstanding. Since their re-open, my husband and I have gone three times now, and all three times - steak was not cooked right, they clearly only use frozen bread (I asked for some with no butter) and the service seems more friendly only to the frequent visitors. It's a shame becuase we really enjoyed this place. It still has a great portabella mushroom appetizer and the location is nice, but we will be waiting quite a while to try it again. I was not impressed with this place at all. After driving by it and seeing how cute it looked at the time (the old building has since burned down and is being rebuilt at the time of this posting), my boyfriend and I decided to stop and eat there one evening. It always looked pretty crowded, so we thought it must have been a pretty decent restaurant. I paid $16 (!!) for ravioli and I could only eat half of it, I was really hungry too. It was tasteless and so poorly drained the water from the pasta diluted the sauce. There were puddles of water on my place. I don't remember what my boyfriend ordered, but he was not blown away either, and his entree was not cheap. Maybe it was just an off night for them, but after leaving with empty pockets and empty stomachs, we weren't going to risk going back there again to give them a second chance. My husband and I went on many dates to La Trattoria and enjoyed every moment. The staff is friendly and inviting! The food is delicious and perfect! We don't live in the area anymore, but when we visit family, we make sure we always go here while we are in town! I was sad to hear they had a fire at the restuarant and hope it is repaired by now! It is a great little restaurant for the town on Greenwood and I hope it is always there for many years to come! Pros: Food, staff, decor Cons: parking, need more:) more

Im new to the area and super picky about my food especially my steaks. La Trattoria it yet to disapoint me. It is a great hole in the wall yet romantic atmosphere will wonderful service, great wine and amazing filet mingon! I have been there probably a dozen times and every visit has been more than wonderful! If you have no tried it you need to! There stuffed portabello mushroom is to die for and the filet is a much have! It is a great place to take a date as well! I will continue to frequent there! Pros: Wonderful food and cozy atmosphere!
