I've never written a review before, but felt i really needed to sign up and really speak about this place. It does not deserve the inner harbor waterfront location with this quality of food. There are restaurant owners that would die for this prime location. The atmosphere was good, the waiter was attentive but the food was so disappointing. My husband and I are big tapas fans and we love paella too. We know what we are ordering. Unlike other diners, we did read the menu correctly but ordered the seafood tapas for 2 at about $47. So we had calamari, mushrooms sauted in garlic and white wine, a spinach salad, fried potato, salmon, grilled shrimp in white sauce, mussels and a veg/rice paella. It was earlier this evening and I am trying to remember the discription. Well, I am not exaggerating when I tell you everything we ate was really pathetic. The rice did seem to be out of a box and was not tastey at all (and everything was barely warm, let alone hot). The mussels were bland, the squid was really, REALLY chewy. The mayo based sauce had like a film on it. The garlic mushrooms were sooo salty and just way to garlicy and i don't think i've ever said that. The salmon was so dry and bland. You could just tell everything was old, not fresh, sitting out. Something right out of a Gordon Ramsey episode. And no thanks to those shows.... you start to picture the kitchen... and well, we could not eat anymore. We felt bad for the waiter so we just told management. He was really nice and wanted us to be happy but honestly I wanted a tour of the kitchen and the place whipped into shape. I wanted someone in that kitchen to be held accountable. It was just unexceptable and a true chef would have been embarrased you would think. It ruined our evening... our dinning experience. People come back for the food. no one comes back because you had good service and nice lighting. It's the food. And this was really bad.
