I think because this place give the feel for a genuine taco stand you'd find in Mexico. Not exactly the same but in some ways. I am Not going to knock the food, it was good, but...

Line up, order in Spanish, fight for a table, and BUEN PROVECHO. This is heaven in a (homemade) tortilla. Pros: Mexican Food, Authentic, Incredible Cons: Crowded, Crowded, Crowded more

worth searching out 6/16/2002

Julia Child loves this place, and now I know why. Any time of day you'll find a line, but it just doesn't matter. Watching the kitchen, chop, sizzle and prepare your authentic treats will make your mouth water. They press the tortillas right there and throw them on the grill. Prices are cheap and it's a great respite from the crowds on State St. Definitely find this place... Pros: fresh ingredients, off the beaten path Cons: very, very busy more
