We made reservations to Welcome in the 2010 New Year and on entry, were escorted to our table and treated to what I call the best waiter, Tommy, on the planet! The owners, Connie and Simon were quick to learn our names so that when we were leaving, we received personal handling; name too. The drinks and food were exquisitely prepared and only once got, ""is everything to your liking?"" instead of every few minutes like some establishments. We went back a few weeks later with another couple and had an equally pleasing experience. The value is 100% and comes to you highly recommended. Ask Connie to take you for a tour and discover all the treasures she has inside that once were part of other establishments seeking to bring a nostalgic experience back to life. If you like food, and who doesn't, you're going to love La Scalla Ristorante. Pros: The ambiance & service is beyond comparison! Cons: Nothing to write here. more

My wife & I made a New Year's Eve reservation and had a wonderful experience welcoming in 2010. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were home. The wait-staff pampered us without being in our space more time than it took to pour additional Asti and serve the next course. Our salads were of good temperature and freshly cut, dipping bread & olive oil more than we expected, dinner of proper portion and temperature, and thoughtfully placed on serving plates. We had thought the dessert would be a ""gooy"" chocolate cake, but who really needs dessert anyway! Overall, we ""HIGHLY RECOMMEND"" LaScalla Ristorante and plan on returning with another couple in a few more days. Perfection!! A busy Saturday night. We walked into a crowded lobby , everyone seemed to know each other and we thought we were going to be the outsiders. Instead we were warmly greeted and made to feel special. When seated at the best booth with a a great view of the dining room our waitress Maria was fantastic bringing drinks and bread quickly. But it was more then efficiency it was the enthusiasm she shared for the quality of the food and the care of the owners of this restaurant. Our dinners were both outstanding.
