La Scala used to have good food. The last two times I ordered take out only to find it impossible to chew the chicken. It was hard like a rock. I tossed the meal in the garbage...

La Scala used to have good food. The last two times I ordered take out only to find it impossible to chew the chicken. It was hard like a rock. I tossed the meal in the garbage. I would strongly advise avoiding La Scala. The quality of their food leaves a lot to be desired. They should be ashamed of themselves for serving such garbage. more

Great if you don't mind flies! 4/21/2007

La Scala was highly recommended and everything I was told it would be but there were flies in the dining area and that just ruined the meal. Not one fly but many because the front door was propped open. The food was delicious. I had the stuffed eggplant. The complimentary brushcetta and bread on the table were very yummy but the flies seemed to like them too. It was a disappointment and I don't think I would risk going back. Pros: Delicious stuffed eggplant Cons: Flies in the dining area more

Best of the best 9/27/2006

I've been to La Scala about a dozen times for pizza and never knew there was a dining room! I found that out the other day when I was waiting for my lunch and returned with my fiance for dinner that night. The food was outstanding, service awesome. We never felt rushed to finish and it was moderately busy. Pricing is great. Big portions. We liked it so much we brought my future mother in law back with us tonight and are going to book it this weekend for our rehersal dinner. If you're in the area and want a quiet, romantic dinner......this is the place to go. Pros: big portions, quiet, romantic Cons: none I found more

Great food, excellent value 2/19/2006

La Scala is the quintissential neighborhood italian restaurant. If you want it, they make it. Delicious food from start to finish, and some unique dishes you won't find elsewhere (try the pasta pockets - unbelieveable!). If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a great italian eatery, this is the way to go. Pros: Great Food, Unique Dishes, Reasonably Priced Cons: Small Dining Room more
