This stretch of the Mission is basically the pupusa corridor, with one pupuseria after the other. As a pupusa aficionado, I have tried several of these restaurants and La Santaneca was my favorite.\r

The pupusas are dirt cheap and delicious, just greasy enough with that earthy hot sauce that makes the dish. I also really like their fried plantains. \r

If you are getting take out, I would recommend ordering ahead, as there is no real waiting area and your order will take at least 10 minutes.
