Do NOT Stay Here 7/25/2009

With a major event in town, we were hard pressed to find a room. However, we did find one room available here. We traveled from Dallas, Texas to Farmington for a funeral. The first night we stayed in Albuquerque at a Residence Inn. It was outstanding! We got a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite for $ 139.00. Everything was exceptional. When we first arrived in Farmington we found a room for one night at The Courtyard. It was good also. However, they only had one night available so we moved to LaQuinta for the remaining three nights. The room was small with 2 double beds. It had a strange smell in the room. After staying there the first night we realized the tub would not drain, the bath sink was also slow to drain, the iron and coffee pot were broken. When we made our way to the "Free Breakfast" we were disappointed again. There was no juice, just the nominal continental breakfast. The worst part of the stay was the price we were charged...$162.40 a night. When I went to check out, they also tried to charge me for playing a game on TV which I did not play. On two different ocassions when I was in the office, other people were complaining about their accomodations also. As a result of my stay here, I will never use a La Quinta again. Of the three hotels we stayed at over that week, it was the most expensive but with the worst accommodations. Strange but as of today the prices have dropped by $40.00 a night! more

Ask for your billboard price 6/14/2006

It is a little difficult writing a review on this motel, because I never got in. We walked in and asked for a room. The clerk gave us a price quote, and my friend asked why the price was so much higher than the advertised billboard price. The clerk said, "You have to ask for the billboard rate". So I said, "Can we have the billboard rate?" She said "No, because now that I've told you about it, I would get in trouble for giving it to you". I then asked, "Well, if we leave and come back later and the first thing I say is 'can I have the billboard rate?', can I get it?". The clerk just gave me a steely look and said "I will remember you". I couldn't argue with her because I was laughing too hard on my way out. more
