La Paz Day Spa

I have been seeing Adriana (waxing) and Cindy (hair) every six weeks for several years now and they are both great at what they do! They are both extremely professional and perfectionists at their trade. I also have had a facial by Erica once and it was lovely. I've never been disappointed with any service from La Paz and I recommend them to everyone I know! The salon is always very peaceful and everyone there is friendly and welcoming. more

Don't get your eyebrows waxed there. Unless you like to play 20 questions about your private life. The lady that did my eyebrows would not stop talking, and she was asking VERY personal questions and passing quick judgement on me and my personal life. Very uncomfortable. Also, I was red for two hours after she waxed my eyebrows. I know some redness is normal, but this was the worse it has ever been. I will NOT be going back. more

I recently just got my hair colored by Michelle after getting a bad color job a week ago. My hair looks so nice now! I can't believe how great she did. She did exactly what I wanted and even more. I don't think I could ever go anywhere else now. My hair looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Very impressed with her coloring skills.\r Also--- I have had facials and my eyebrows done by Adriana as well and she does a fantastic job. She is very professional, and a perfectionist. She shapes and tints my brows nicely. Its amazing what a difference it makes.\r I have extremely acne prone skin and her acne facials make a huge difference on my skin. \r I would never trust anyone else to do these types of services. Overall, I am amazed by this salon/spa. You wont be disappointed!!!!! more

I purchased a Vitamin C facial for La Paz Day Spa from Groupon (I think it was only $35) and it was definitely worth it! The aesthetician was polite, professional and kept a very clean room. The salon itself looked to be full-service, so it was nice that I could get a hair cut, massage and a facial or waxing all in the same place. Great location in the Heights with plenty of parking when I arrived. Everyone seemed to enjoy being at work and it wasn't a snotty salon where you'd typically hear a bunch of gossip. All of the ladies seemed happy, which I think is important. Anyway, the facial was very nice - the room was dimly lit so I totally relaxed and the steam felt wonderful. The extractions were very gentle and only lasted about 5 minutes. The rest of the facial was massage, masques and other lotion-y treatments. I felt very comfortable at La Paz and I would definitely return. more

I've been going to La Paz for a few years now and I have to say their service doesn't compare to any other salon in Houston. I go there for facials and waxing with Adrianna and recently started getting my hair highlighted and cut by Michelle. I was so impressed by Michelle. She did an AMAZING job on my hair. I have gotten so many compliments on my highlights and cut from everyone! I'm very pleased with the outcome. Adrianna is the best aesthetician I have ever been to. She is such a perfectionist and really takes her time with everything. My eyebrows are one to be reckoned with and she knows how to tame them. I'm in there at lease twice a month and I love how everyone that works there makes me feel like family. I highly recommend this salon!!!!! more

Worst cut ever! I am so disappointed in this place. I was recommended by my girlfriend and cant believe how wrong she was. Its small and not that great of a place. My stylist was nice but she had no idea what she was doing. more

There's lots to like about La Paz Day Spa. The main thing for me, though, is the preciseness with which they go about performing their services. They know their stuff and then some. And they always welcome you like you're their favorite person in the whole wide world. And they're fun/funny. Check 'em out for yourself. more

I love La Paz Day Spa, I have very tricky eyebrows, for years I searched for someone that can do them to fit my face! I hate skinny and poorly arched, odd unnatural shaped eyebrows, glad to say my search stopped when I found Adriana!! She is great! I love my eyebrows now! She also does my facials. My skin is very sensitive and breaks out with anything; however, with this facial my face feels and looks better, the mini massage at the end is plus! I have been going to this spa for a few years now and I love it, wouldn't change it for anything! I highly recommend it! P.S. If you are getting your eyebrows done for the first time, I recommend you let them grow out as much as you can so you can give her as much to work with! :) more

it's located in the heights. I live in Katy and I had to drive almost an hour to come see the place. It's worth it! Love my hair, just got it done today with the hairstylist Norma. The place is nice. Great service. Great atmosphere! I know there is no place in Houston that will be as good and affordable as this place. Every penny worth it! Love it! Great job La Paz! more

I love this place! Everyone is super nice, friendly and the service is great. I've been getting my Brazillian wax and facials with Adriana for years and I'm still always impressed. During my recent pregnancy Adriana took good care of me during my Brazilian wax and worked very carefully around my baby bump and made me feel real comfortable. I would highly recommend her work as well as the other ladies. The ladies are all super talented! And what ties it all together is the spa's cool decorations and I appreciate the free beverages and snacks while I wait. Great, great, great. :) more

Adriana has waxed and tinted my brows for some time now. She is the best!! So I decided to have her tatoo my eye brows this week. They look awesome! She is extremely talented and I would not trust any one else to do it. La Paz is beautiful and has such a relaxing friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to everyone!! more

A few days ago I went to La Paz to get my hair trimmed and colored by Cindy. She is amazing! She gave me exactly what I asked for. I have received so many compliments on my color!!! I cant wait to go back for a massage!!! more

I went to La Paz for a pedicure & a massage a few days before Christmas and it was incredible!!! The girls there are so nice,it has the feel of a family owned business where everyone knows everyone. The girl that did my nails is insanely good!!! She was so thorough and precise. The massage therapist was also one of the best I've had.She gives a great deep tissue massage.The spa is also as beutiful as it is friendly, I will recomend it to everyone!!! more

I heard about this place from my coworker and she said that LaPaz was a friendly day spa in her neighborhood. Before I even got to the door a man came up to my window and asks for money from me. I almost left. I decided to walk in and it was nicely decorated in a mexican style decor. The young lady was way too happy and assumed I would be too although my stylist was running late. I had my hair service and it was horrible! I had my regular stylist fix it and he laughed at me. I read that it was a nice place but I should have known better when I saw it was connected to a convenience store. La Paz isnt what they make it out to be. I will never go back there again ! more

After going to a Visible Changes salon for years, I just recently had my hair colored and cut at La Paz and LOVED it! Norma colored and cut my hair for me and did an unbelievable job! She gave comments and opinions on color samples that she thought would look good on me, and when all was finished, my hair looks amazing! La Paz Day Spa came to me as being highly recommended. I was told to have Adrianna do my eyebrows and a facial. I did. I was not pleased at all. After my eyebrows were waxed andmy skin was torn off my eyelids, then I was told that it wasn't a good idea to do a facial and an eyebrow wax on the same day. I mentioned that it would have been a great idea for the person who helped me schedule the two appointments to mention that in advance. I had very special plans for that evening, which was the purpose of the facial and wax job and as it turned out because of what she did to my eyelids, I was not able to even wear any makeup for the evening. I will not go back. I make it a point to tell anyone who goes there about my experience. more

Once I walk through the doors of La Paz Day Spa, I truly feel like I've entered a little oasis away from the craziness of my life. Pure relaxation! It's always such a treat! Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that you feel welcomed and that every need that you have for beauty and relaxation are met. After going to La Paz for several years, I honestly feel like a member of the La Paz family--it's great! Adriana, the owner, has done an exceptional job creating an atmosphere of peace and harmony. She is amazing! Norma has cut and colored my hair for a couple of years, and I would NOT go to anyone else. She is great! She listens to me, making sure that I look great when I walk out the door. Adriana gives the best facial that I have ever had. And my skin shows it. She works wonders. I can't tell you how many people tell me how great my skin looks, and how young I look--and I have grown children! She is also a genius when it comes to brows. Today was my first visit to La Paz, and it was such a lovely experience. The moment I walked through the door, friendly faces greeted me, and the homey ambiance simply made it that much more comfortable. My aunt, who is a regular now, gifted me a certificate for a facial with Adriana. Let me tell you, it was unbelievable! I will definitely go back for more treatments. So, don?t wait!
