Historic Encinitas Theatre 9/1/2005

This is one of the oldes buildings in Encinitas. This movie theatre hosts an array of events including local surf movies, local plays and non-mainstream movies. The theatre is located in the heart of downtown encinitas and makes a perfect destination after dinner. The theatre is locally run and has an old movie theatre feel to it. more

Downtown Encinitas theatre with lots of history 8/22/2005

This theatre has been around since the 20's and is a great place to see movies and shows. Anything from smaller films to Rocky Horror Picture show to music. Catch the Full Moon Poetry Slam here for a really fun time! Just saw the Asylum Street Spankers here this month--great time in great theatre with a fun local crowd. Easy to park downtown and catch dinner too. more

La Paloma Theatre 8/19/2005

the La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas has a lot of charm of the golden days of movie theaters. The place is old - but still looks great. They show many "small budget movies", and serve very good concessions. Their prices are very steep for the movies though - maybe not worth it, but the charm of the theater pays for itself. more

A part of History 8/12/2005

This theater has been around before most of us were! There is a lot of history in this theater. Similar to the Ken theater in Kensington, this theater shows small films, independent films, and occasionally some live music. In the heart of encinitas, this theater also has it's share of surf films. In the olden days there were couches and booths in the theater for the special patrons. The trend continues with beer being served for live performances, and beautiful architecture. Stop by La Paloma to pick up a movie listing and make a night of it. more

Piece of Encinitas History 8/11/2005

You can not visit Encinitas without noticing the classic theater on Hwy 101. La Paloma is the favored spot for action sports film premieres and attracts Rocky Horror Picture Show fans with Friday late night screenings. This theater offers a great variety of films, that sometimes slip under the radar of the commercial theaters. Great ambiance and a fun place to see a movie. more
