Great food and service. 4/15/2008

This place is a gem. When you walk in the front door, Flavio greets you with a warm smile and welcomes you by name (if you are a regular). The margaritas are a must as they are made just right. Service is friendly and efficient. The menu offers a great variety of excellent tasting food. Try this restaurant out, you will come back often. Pros: Great service, margaritas and menu selection. more

Marginal food, poor service. You're well served to look elsewhere. 5/4/2007

The food was edible, but tasteless. I ordered Chiles Relleno. They came with an Italian looking red sauce with green peppers and onion in it. The chiles were difficult to find under all the sauce. There was no flavor to the food. The service was non-existent. We were left alone for very long periods of time. Our group typicaly has coffee after dinner. We were never asked if we wanted coffee. We had to go find a service person to ask for our bill. We will not be returning.\r Pros: Ambience. Nice place. Had very good singers. Cons: food was tasteless. Service was worse. more

Used to be one of our fav's 11/3/2006

We're not sure what happened. This place used to be great. Now however, we've been disappointed with even the fajitas. They have been opening up several new locations, so perhaps the owners have been spread a bit too thin to effectively watch quality everywhere. Pros: Elvis impersonator in the bar - freaked out a guy from Memphis - not what you are expecting at a Mexican restaurant. Cons: Quality has been going down more

My husband and I just love it! 5/13/2005

We have been at La Magdalena several times since they opened and every time we had a very good experience. The food IS EXCELLENT! We are from Mexico and we can tell you: the food tastes like REAL MEXICAN FOOD, not like Taco Bell. The place is really nice and the service is excellent. We are looking to our next visit!! Pros: All more

""No."" 2/23/2004

We were looking forward to good margaritas and Mexican food. The margaritas were fine, and the restaurant was clean and in great shape. Everything else was below-par. You could have anything you wanted, as long as it was exactly what was on the menu. The only substitution that could be made was to use refried beans instead of . The service was slow, the small portions of food were neither well-prepared nor tasteful, and were only luke-warm. At the end of the evening we asked to have our bill split in two parts: one for the alcohol and one for the food. Sorry, ""no"". ""No"" pretty much sums up this place. You'd be better off across the street at Taco Bell or, perhaps, at the nearby Chevy's, where they welcome the customer rather than making it seem like they're doing you a favor by letting you in the place. Pros: well maintained Cons: , poor service, small portions more
