La Costa Restaurant

I was very mpressed with how good the food was here, teh service not so much. I probably have never been to a place that had worst service than this. My server would not even stop when I would try to ask him something or wait a second after dropping off our food for me to ask for more napkins. I will give this place another try, hoping that it was just the one server I had that was that terrible cause the food was so good. I'll give it one more try and see. more

Every month my brother & I go to lunch to catch up & we try a new place each time. I found La Costa here on City Search & decided to give it a try after reading the good reviews. We were definitely not disappointed! I had the shrimp enchiladas which were stuffed full of delicious bites of shrimp, and my brother had the La Costa Burrito which was huge and also very tasty! I was so impressed with the food, the service & cleanliness of the restaurant that I took my husband there for lunch. He is still raving about the fish tacos! Overall, this is the place to go for great Mexican food if you're in the south end of the valley! more

Best chips, salsa & bean dip! Best Carne Asada Ever!!! If you are looking for the best mexican place to eat I HIGHLY recommend La Costa! We have been coming here for about 3 years now and we love their new location! The service is GREAT! The staff if friendly! Don't waste your money anywhere else.... go to La Costa for sure! Their Carne Asada plate is truly addictive. Best Carne Asada I've ever had, anywhere. food always arrives hot and in big portions. Salsa is fresh and obviously house made. I've had just about everything on the menu, including other specials and I've never had a bad meal. Service is fast, reliable and always greeted with a smile. Pros: authentic, high quality food. I cant count how many times we've eaten here now, its easily the best Mexican place I know of in Sandy. Coming from Southern California, its really become our favorite home away from home Pros: Authentic ""Homemade style"" food, very clean!! more

We waited 45 minutes to get our food, the portions were too small--I paid $10 for a taco and enchilada and tons of beans. I left hungry after an hour and would've been better off at Taco Bell. The ground beef was old and stale and had bad flavoring. It was my first time going there and my last too!! Cons: Long wait time, poor food quality. more

I am a regular at La Costa and would recommend it any day of the week. They have great customer service and incredible food! As they have begun to be more well known - they are starting to get more crowded on the weekends. I've only been there once when I had to wait. The food is always great - the menu has a huge variety and the prices couldn't be more resonable for what you get! A family favorite for sure!! Pros: Service, parking is never a problem, close to movie theaters never a wait! Cons: Actual place is small but getting bigger!! more

if you a craving some good Mexican food at a low price this is the place to go. The service it quick, kind, friendly, helpful.....on and on. Food is served quickly, but not to quickly! La Costa has the friendliest group of employees in town. The food is excellent and served almost immediately. This is a great plus for anyone towing kids along. I have never experienced a wait long enough for my children to start misbehaving. I appreciate that La Costa is one of the few restaurants left that will serve you a free supply of chips, beans, and salsa. So many restaurants make the offer under the guise that it's complimentary, then stick it on the tab at the end. I have had a minimal amount of times where something was wrong with my order, but when those times have come up, the staff has been speedy to get my concerns resolved. I truly enjoy everthing about this restaurant and feel it's hidden location in the back of Sandy Mall is the only reason it's not packed every night. Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly, Fast Service more
