Upon entering one can tell this is a local favorite. Clean, lots of seating, reasonable prices. We were seated and served quickly. The usual chips and salsa were brought almost immediately. Tasty thin chips with (truly) mild salsa. Enjoyed a pleasant family dinner with a very attentive server. I ordered the appetizer chicken quesadilla as my meal which was more than enough. Very good and full of chicken. Others got tacos with beans and rice and were satisfied. One got a taco salad and found it lean and tasty. All would easily return when in town again. more

Bland and tasteless 7/3/2008

I just don't understand how this place is so busy all the time. I get people all the time saying they love La Casita, but I just don't get it. I've been a lot of times because of hail and farewells or company lunches and every time the food has just been bad. Not Las Trankas bad (that place was so bad it should be criminal), but for being so close to Mexico we really should have no problem finding Mexican food here. more

Hit and miss 5/5/2008

The first time I went to La Casita, I really liked it. I wouldn't say it's the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, but it was pretty good for our little town of Sierra Vista.\r \r The last time I went to La Casita, it was for a company dinner. I was extremely disappointed. The servers limited everyone (including some very hungry soldiers) to one or two items each. Then they ended up having leftovers at the end. Not very good management of resources, and a little rude, too! My husband and I don't drink, but they also almost ran out of beer for everyone else, which is not cool at a military party. In addition, the food was really bland and dry--quesadillas, taquitos, and Mexican rice. We expected a whole lot more for a catered dinner!\r \r For those new to the restaurant, there isn't very much parking in the paved lot in front of the business. You have to drive behind the restaurant and park in the gravel parking lot, or park on the side street. more

Good Mexican food 4/25/2007

The food was pretty good, the service was great, but sometimes here there needs to be something a little more to make a Mexican restaurant stand out from all the others in the neighborhood. more

I love their chips 4/12/2007

The food is always consistently good. I love enchiladas, and theirs are very good. I'm a chips and salsa addict and they keep them coming. Tasty refried beans too. I like their tostadas, but my husband says I shouldn't eat them in public anymore. :( more

Our food was bland and cold! 7/19/2006

La Casita should spend more time with their quality and service than they do on planning their next commercials!\r \r We love to eat and we love good Mexican food, I do not know if perhaps they were having a bad night, or if our server was just too busy ignoring us to remember that she should serve the food before the cheese was hard tough and cold! It honestly looked and tasted like a plate of leftovers instead of the fine cuisine promised in their commercial. \r \r Sorry, this was a very big disappointment! Their parking area is very limited. The waitress treated my husband like he was bothering her because after we waited on our food for 40 minutes, he had finished one beer and wanted another. She was busy flirting with a man at the bar, when my husband tried to get her attention.\r \r The Margarita was made from a cheap mixer, and the food and service were not as wonderful as their commercial implies. PROS: The decor was nice. CONS: The food, service and parking was very bad! more
