La Brisa is such a fun environment. They have live music like 4 days out of the week outside on their patio. The Stuffed Avocado with Fajitas is my favorite! Soooo yummy!! You should definitely check it out! more

Today was my husbands birthday...what better place to celebrate...Great Food! not so the manager! We ordered the special"" beef and chicken fjitas with two deep fried peppers...looked awesome, menu read great...except they failed to mention there was a shrimp in the pepper...highly allergic! Gee soryy he said thats just how we make them...not it does not mention shrimp on the menu...my hausband left and ran to the nearest drugstore for Benadryl since the restraunt had none! to add insult to injury we were told we had to pay for the cold food and take it home and put it in our microwave...no longer my favorite not even on the top 100. La Brisa makes a dish called Beef Tampiquena, which is just simply delicious. They also make a stuffed enchiladas plate with 4 enchiladas; it's enough to send you begging for your pillow and a nap, after eating. Or try their shrimp enchiladas, which are also excellent. There's an El Patron combination plate, which has a great assortment of everything. Anything your order off the menu, is excellent. I also love their red hot sauce, and their green avocado hot sauce. If you are out in the Kemah area and have a craving for good Mexican food, try La Brisa. It's a short drive just three or four miles down Hwy 146 south from Kemah, towards Bacliff. I had the Shrimp Huatulco, which comes with rice and pico de gallo and a creamy cilantro sauce. It was absolutely delicious. I love their red salsa as well as the green, guacamole salsa that they serve with warm chips at your table. They have added a really laid-back, scenic outdoor covered patio, complete with a big-screen sports tv screen, a big bar, and decorative multi-colored lights hanging from the rafters. The mexican music playing softly in the background, really reminded me of being in Acapulco, or Cozumel. The service has picked up and improved here lately as well. Minus a couple of small waiter mistakes, we had a really super, laid-back Memorial wekeend lunch here. I consider it one of the better Mexican restaurants in the entire area of Clearlake, Seabrook, Kemah, Bacliff area. Oh, make sure to try the Queso Flameado as an appetizer or even a meal; the melted cheese dish with beef fajita meat is really incredible here. One of the bestest places to get the real thing....or as close as you can find around here. Great prices and prompt service! The only drawback is the shortage of parking. We eat here on a regular basis. The food and service are excellent and it won't break the bank. Try the Cancun for a spicy meal with Snapper covered with shrimp, avocado and other veggies. more
