Beautiful rooms with a beautiful view 11/12/2005

The Inn at Temple Square has some beautiful rooms. Request one that faces north and you will have a spectacular view of Temple Square and the Temple itself. This hotel is located in the heart of downtown and is perfectly placed close to many shopping centers. The TRAX runs right in front so you can hop on it and get to about anywhere you need to go. There is a restaurant located in the hotel--called Passages. The rooms can be pricey during peak tourist times and holidays, however, it is totally worth staying there. All the hospitality you'd ever want and more. more

Very nice restaurant 8/19/2005

The Inn at Temple Square Restaurant was very nic. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. It is right downtown in Salt Lake City, and you can see the Temple Square from the tables near the windows. It's a medium-priced restaurant and was well-worth the money. It is also very convenient for business-people working downtown in the Salt Lake malls. more

  • The Scene
You can't get more downtown than this 90-room inn, located directly across from Temple Square and Abravanel Hall, the city's performing arts center. Yet despite its central location, it's extremely quiet. The architecture reflects a grand, historical LDS (Mormon) style from the 1930s, beginning with an inset entrance that looks as if it belongs in a New York apartment building.

    The Details
The cozy lobby is reminiscent of an old-time parlor with its fireplace and baby grand piano. Individually appointed guest rooms feature European furnishings such as sleigh and four-poster beds, and modern touches, such as high-speed Internet access, which is available upon request. Passages restaurant is a cool American bistro done up with a black-and-white checked floor and colorful international flags, a legacy of the 2002 Olympics. Lovers of fresh air will be happy to know that the inn is completely smoke-free.
