Just a simple call to ask what time the restaurant closes for our very large after graduation party tonight. Rude little bugger on phone said he was too busy call back later. NOT! Not my favorite sushi place anyway, Okinawa here we come! more

This is the BEST sushi restaurant in Florida that I've been to. I've been to multiple restaurants from here to South Florida. No one rivals them. Their tuna tataki is to die for and is better than anywhere you will find. There customer service is awesome. They're actually run and owned by asian people, unlike some places I've been to and had horrible food. I have eaten at the Hibachi table a couple times also, but prefer the sushi. The prices are great! The hibachi table is always a good time! I love sitting in front of the sushi chefs and watching them make my sushi. They're always super polite. I have never had a bad experience with them! I recommend them 100 times over. I have even introduced Sushi Rock to a lot of my friends and they all fell in love! Their dynamite roll is not packed with rice like most places. It's packed full of Salmon! They don't skimp at all with their service and quality and this is why I love this restaurant. Keep up the good work guys! I couldn't ask for anything more! Freshest ingredients. Amazing sushi chefs! The service is consistent from the Wells Road location to the San Marco location! You guys just need to get some Asahi beer in there! I love the Kirin and Sapporo though. Pros: Great service, fresh ingredients, great everything overall. I love to eat out at japanese steakhouse's . I've tried several and liked few, this is bar none my favorite. I've tried restaurants from Jacksonville,Fl to Shreveport,La and I have not found a place that I enjoy more. The food was great, the service was wonderful, The staff was genuinely nice. They are always quik to seat us and if there is a wait its worth it. the steak is tender and full of flavor. the salads tast great and the cooks are humorous. Pros: The sushi is good and the service is great everytime I leave there I'm glad that's where I ate. Cons: the blanding/wells rd. traffic more

We take our kids (ages 9 - 13) a lot and have always had a great time. We have gone to most of the sushi restaurants in Jacksonville and found Sushi Rock to be the most family friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable and they always treat our kids like royalty. The chefs are great and entertaining. My younger two kids usually share one meal and we have never had a problem with it. The food is excellent. The sushi is always fresh tasting and they have a great selection. We have tried most of their entrees from steak to chicken to seafood and haven't received a bad meal. We had a horrendous business lunch experience at Sushi Rock on Wells Rd. Not only did we wait for a ridiculously long time for the chef to arrive at our table, but we were challenged by one of our servers when the bills arrived. They had accidentally served us food we did not order, left it with us as ""on the house,"" but when the bill arrived insisted that we pay for it. When we questioned this horrible customer service we were spoken to rudely, forced to pay for their mistake, and glared out until we exited the building. more
