First of all, I want to start off this review by begging owners not to even consider taking their dogs to this place!!! Kym is not the professional she claims to be. She tells you that the training will be 4 weeks, it is a $100 deposit, and you pay the rest when you pick up your dog ONLY IF you are satisfied with the training and you feel the dog has been trained to your standards. In the beginning she tells you that she will take your dog, train them, feed them, love them, and do whatever it takes to get them on the right track in 4 weeks. She does ask that you do not call everyday because she is busy. That I understand, but I did tell her I wanted to have one weekly phone call or text message to see how my dog was doing and what she was learning. She said that would be fine, but when I didn't get a call from her for a week and a half I started calling and she wouldn't answer or return my calls. Finally, my boyfriend and I went to her house one day looking for her and found her out on her porch sitting down. She explained that the heat was very hard on her and the dogs and that she lost her phone so that was the reason she wasn't returning my calls. She then said that she would need to keep my dog for a couple more weeks in order to get her trained because she wasn't doing well with the training. She then said again that she would keep me informed about how my dog was doing. Two more weeks went by and she still said that my dog wasn't ready and that she needed more time. When I asked about things in detail, Kym was very rude and didn't respond well to me questioning her about my dog. I finally told her she had two more weeks (for a total of 8 weeks) to get her trained or not, but either way I was coming to get her. It's been two more weeks and Kym now feels my dog is ready to come home. So when I asked once again about the remainder of the money on my account, she then said she did not expect me to pay her because she doesn't think I care for her much. Regardless of how I feel for her personally or professionally does not make a difference I told her. It's about how she has treated my dog, what my dog has learned, and how well she is doing when I pick her up and work with her is the basis for my decision of payment. A deal is a deal. Kym, however, made this a personal issue about her which is not professional at all in my opinion. Overall, this experience with Kym's Kennels has been the worst experience with any ""business"" I have ever encountered. I encourage owners to seek other options for the training of their dog(s) because I don't want to see or hear about anyone else and their pet go through what we have. It's just not worth it, it takes too much time and energy, and the worry feeling of how your dog is doing isn't a good thing to have to deal with. This is not the best option out there!
