There are many reasons to recommend this auto care shop. First, the staff are very friendly, they explain any issues your car is having in a way you can understand. Second, this...

Worst

I had to wait a hour because they did not have my filter or my oil. And the shop smelled like pot.

Exceptional team of people. 2/20/2013

I've been going to Kwik Kar Lube & Tune for approximately 8-10 years now. I love them! The place is very clean, very hospitable and extremely nice. They always provide good customer service and always try to accommodate me whenever I go there. And those few times when there and nobody's available, they have great references to send me to. They offer coffee and a nice, clean place to wait. And they work so fast, that often they're finished and I want to stay longer! I have to especially point out Thomas Overton, he is the one I go to most. He is a wonderful manager. He and his team are wonderful and make it a great place to go if you want good service. I can't say enough good things about Thomas and his team and everyone there! Delores Swygert more

The service I receive from Kwik Kar is first class. Mr. Overton and his crew are very skillful and courteous. I have been seeing him for about 5 years now, with 4 vehicles, and every time I leave more satisfied than when I arrived. Thumbs up! more

I arrived at Kwik Kar Lube right at 6:00 P.M. --- closing time-- to get my oil changed. The young men working there had every right to tell me they were closed, but they didn't. Even though I am sure they would like to have gone home, they were as kind and curteous as if I had arrived at noon. They didn't rush me through, they didn't skimp on the extras that go with changing the oil ( checking tire pressure etc), they did a great job with great attitudes. This was my first time to stop at Kwik Kar Lube, but it will not be my last!! Thank you!!! more

For regular oil changes, I used to take my car do the only dealership which is in Cool Springs. Not very convenient for working on Charlotte. I started taking my car here about two years ago for oil changes and they made me aware of the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations which they said they could do in addition to the oil changes. I confirmed that they were being honest about the recommendations and then I checked the pricing which I found to be much better than what I would have paid the dealer. As a result, I now use them for all the work on my car which I try extremely hard to take care of properly. The only organizations that will let work on my car are those that I feel will treat my car the way I would. I have recommended and will continue to highly recommend this business on many occasions. more

Being a female, I hate taking the car to get any kind of service done. My husband is not able to do it, so I'm elected. I especially hate to get my oil changed at these small drive-in, drive-out places that are usually greasy, grimy, have two chairs and are run by teenagers. Not so with Kwik Kar. You are always greeted with a smile by everyone that works there. The facility is clean, clean, clean. You have plenty of seating, lots of magazines to read, a neat playroom for the kids/grandkids, free coffee, but most importantly, a very efficient staff that can answer all of your questions and meet your automotive needs. You never feel "suckered" into getting a service you don't need and all the work done on my auto has been top of the line. I can always feel relaxed about any recommended services for my vehicle, and I would give them 10 stars for their expertly run shop. Thank you Kwik Kar for making my life a lot easier. more

Customer Service & Value for money 3/19/2011

The customer service is truely unusual here. They actually care and for a car service place, that is just plain blowing my mind. (KK's service is like taking your car to a large dealer, without the 50% price upcharge!!) I usually look for comparable pricing on the work that I have done on my vehicles and these guys give their customers true value(and the work is really good too!) more

I used to feel the way many of these reviewers feel and have been going to Kwik Lube for years. My whole extended family goes here also since we all live close by. No longer...I went in for a routine oil change, their technicians damaged my car to the point where I need a replacement engine and will not take responsibility for any of it. I say beware and hope that nothing wrong happens to your car here, because if it does...It's going to be on you. See you all in court. more

almost makes me wish I was a car 7/7/2010

Terrific service. Comfortable, clean waiting area. Nice clean bathroom. Free coffee. Water fountains (adult & kid sized). Children's play room. TV (which seems to always be set to HGTV, but usually there's something interesting enough on to pass the time), plus magazines to read. They treat you right. They treat your vehicle right. They tell it like it is and don't feed you a bag of b.s. I am getting older and more ornery by the day and can be hard to please, I'll admit, but I cannot think of one single bad thing to say about this place. more

Honest mechanic? Yes, they do exist! 3/21/2010

I first used Kwik Kar Lube & Tune about 4 months ago when I needed some brake repair. I am a widow and I was extremely nervous about taking my car into a place I knew nothing about. I went online and read the reviews and this helped to relieve my anxiety. I had a very positive experience with them and so when my ""check engine"" light came on a few months later, I returned to Kwik Kar. This happened about a year prior and Lexus charged me $55 dollars to turn the light off. They didn't do any repairs, just turned off the light. Well, I took it in and was there only about 15 - 20 minutes when Gerry, one of the mechanics, came in to tell me he had some ""good news."" He said that he had found the problem and that it was just a hose that had come off (something to do with the emission system). The next words that came out of his mouth were just a total shock to me. He said ""that will be no charge."" Are you kidding me? He could have told me that my ""Johnson rod"" needed to be replaced and I wouldn't have known the difference, but he told me that it was just a quick fix and that my car was ready to go. Well, I want all of you single women out there to know that there are still a few honest mechanics left in the world. Also, this is the cleanest, most ""kid friendly"" place I have ever been in. \r \r I can honestly say that this will be my choice for car repair as long as I own a car. This is a place where you can feel confident that you will be treated fairly and with respect. \r \r Pros: Exceptionist service with a smile. more

These people are the most honest I have ever met. Twice they have told me what was wrong with my car and twice they have given me the best and least expensive way to repair it. I am so glad I've found them and recommend them to everyone. Honesty is hard to come by these days, but you can be confident that at Kwik Kar Lube and Tune they will treat you right. more

Awesome Service 2/9/2010

I was traveling through Nashville when my radiator blew so my dad told me to take it to Kwik Kar. They weren't going to be able to get it done until the next monday. So I told them my situation: I live 200 miles from Nashville and I had school monday and i couldn't wait. He went back and talked to his mechanic and they decided that they would stay late and finish my truck so I could get home. These guys are great and I would recommend them to anyone. more

Excellent customer service, quick, clean, honest. Have been having oil changes and other preventative services done on my van for about 3 years here. The management is consistent and the staff does a good job of recommending and not overselling things that aren't needed. I've been pleased and recommended Kwik Kar as a great place to have service. more

Finally found my Nashville mechanic! 9/21/2009

I took my van here today, and after 10 months of living in Nashville, I have finally found my mechanic. The first thing I noticed about this place is how exceptionally CLEAN the shop is. That scores big with me, because you can tell these guys really care about the work that they do. I took the van there, and for a very reasonable price, they got it nice and tuned up. They told us what needed to be taken care of (and proved it to us, for example when they did the fuel system cleaning afterwards all the junk in the engine was blowing out the tailpipe for a good 8 minutes). The van works beautifully now, and I am a very satisfied customer. You won't get any smoke and mirrors with these guys, because their whole thing is once they have you in as a customer, they want to keep you as a customer, and you don't get that by either doing shoddy work or screwing people over. I'll be back to this place for sure. Pros: Extremely clean, quick, honest, friendly, and knowledgable Cons: Can't turn left out of parking lot (had to find something) more

Peace of Mind Car Care and EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service! 9/3/2009

I'm new to Nashville and one of the worse things about moving to a new state is trying to find a new automobile shop! I've tried other places in the 7 months I have been here but I will not try any others after today! \r \r The employees at Kwik Kar should do presentations in business college courses on how to run a successful, exceptional business. They know how to execute top-notch customer service and they execute it well! From the manager behind the front desk to the technicians behind the glass in the service area nothing but smiles, respect and making you feel like they appreciate you being there. \r \r Then there's their knowlege and honesty. It's so rare to find an automobile shop that takes the time to not only tell you what needs to be done to your car but takes the time to explain why it needs to be done and how it's going to be done. They will let you know what needs immediate attention vs. what can wait until later without a major mechanical or financial melt-down happening in your life! I just dropped in for an oil change (no appointment) and left with my car cleaner (they vacuum it for you) and running better than it has run in a long, long time (it was in dire need of a fuel system flush). \r \r Have you ever seen that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry is trying to find a new mechanic after Elaine and Putty break up? George says: Well, of course they're trying to screw you. What do you think?That's what they do. They can make up anything. Nobody knows. ""By the way, you need a new Johnson rod in there."" ""Oh, a Johnson rod. Yeah, well, you better put one of those on.""\r \r The wonderful employees of Kwik Kar will be kwik to tell you..... there's no such thing as a Johnson rod so you don't need one replaced! I LOVE not having to worry about my car!!!!\r \r more
