Kurt Bohmer Plumbing is the kind of ""good guy"" company you can trust to do the job right! They recently replaced our septic tank and cleaned out our seepage pits. From the initial inspection to the final installation, Kurt and his crew explained everything and even made sure to SHOW US the state of the original tank and the work they were doing. Under most circumstances, you might not want to look into an existing septic system! But it was important to us to know the condition of the existing system and what would need to be done. They were more than willing to take the extra time to explain everything! This was a big job and they got it done super quick. Kurt and the whole crew were a pleasure to work wilth, but I have to say the thing I appreciate most about this company is that I trust them! more

Be aware. These are bunch of crooks. We needed an emergency leak stop and our association plumber couldn?t make it and we called them. They came in and unfortunately I was not home. They quoted $80 over the phone, but when they came in they charged my tenant $649 for under $100 job. I wrote a letter to the owner and explained the situation and thread if they don?t refund me I will report them to better business bureau and our association. The owner called and admitted that they over charged me, but because I have threatened him to report them they will not refund me. Stay away from this crooks. I am sure those who wrote positive comments are themselves or friends and family. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE THIEVES. more

We called Kurt Bohmer Plumbing to get an inspection of a septic tank for a home we were purchasing. When we called they quoted a price of $375 to inspect and pump the tank. I made sure I wrote down the price and which services were covered as we were getting other quotes as well. KB Plumbing turned out to be the lowest price, so we went with them. When the plumber came out, he said the septic tank was bad and pointed out some crumbling cement at the center of the tank. He said it would be $6500 for a new one and did not pump the tank. more

I feel ripped off! The rules changed when the serviceman appeared at my home. This is not an ethical company. Here's what happened: 1. I was told $39.99 if Appt is at 4:00pm -- and $89.99 if Appt is at 4:30pm. So, I re-schedule to 4:00pm and get off work early to be home on time. Serviceman arrives 4:05. 2. Serviceman performs work; 1) replaced mini-restor (I supplied hardware) and replaced a hose under my bathroom sink. (30 mins total) 3. Then the Serviceman gives me a BILL for $193.00! I asked why wasn't I provided an estimate of the work -- so I can accept/deny service -- I am now given a Bill with no recourse to cancel! So expensive. Why so expensive? He said that my service call was $89.99 + labor. What labor? He basically unscrewed the mini-restor, and screwed in a new one (1 minute)! He then he explained how plugged my sink was said there was a lot of junk he had take out, and had to replace the hose instead! (15 mins). I checked the residue he collected from the sink and there wasn't anything to speak about -- He didn't have to replace the hose, there was nothing pulled from the sink? I then advised Serviceman that my service call is $39.99 -- not $89.99. The serviceman says, ""No, the service fee is $39.99 when its NO LATER THAN 3:00pm."" I advised that I changed my 4:30pm Appt to 4:00pm, due to my conversation with their office that its $39.00 for 4:00pm. He argued and said the fee is $89.99 for a 4:00pm Appt! 4. I spoke to Kurt Bohmer's Office & informed office personnel that I wasn't told the truth about the $39.99 service, instead I was charged $89.99 for a 4:00pm Appt -- PLUS I felt I was OVER CHARGED for the work performed. The office personnel apologized and said I would receive a refund of $50.00 for the misrepresentation by the Serviceman & someone would call me. To-Date, I haven't received a returned call by the owner of the company or $50.00 refund as promised! I DO NOT Recommended this Company under ANY circumstances due to their Integrity and Ethics. There's no words to describe how one feels when taken advantage of by companies like this. They over-perform on the job to charge more!! And this company CHANGED THEIR SERVICE FEE when they arrived at my home!! Be Warned!!....DO NOT USE Kurt Bohmer Plumbing. more

This was my first time using this company and what an experience! The service guy was polite and clean, I couldn't even tell that he'd been in the house after he left except that my drains were working again. I'd recommend them to anyone... including my mother. more

Kurt Bohmer Plumbing: very professional, courteous, and attention to detail. I had an extreme emergency and these guys showed up right on time! and instantly put my mind at ease. Kurt Bohmer Plumbing took care of our every need. I needed a partial repipe and the amount of work that needed to be done was done in a timely manner at a very fair price and they left the work area very clean at the end of every day. more

BIGGEST CROOK EVER!!!! I just recently had a leak in my home so i opened up the phone book and picked the first plumber i saw. First i asked them how much was the service fee $40 thats a lie. When the guy got here, and i mean guy cause none of his employees are actually licensed plumbers learned that the hard way. He stated the $40 was just for him to show up not to do any actuall work like find my problem. 2nd strike he stated he didn't have the equipment to locate my leak. 3rd when he received the equipment i over heard him talking to the man who delivered it (the man who cleary was under the influence of some kind of drugs) that he did not know how to use the equipment. They then told me my home had a slab leak and that my insurance would not cover the repair my fault for not calling my insurance right away. I decided to just have them fix the problem cause my home was being damaged by water. After talking to my insurance i later learned that i was charged 4 times the amount of the parts actually cost. Also my insurance stated none of the insurance companys in the area use Kurt Bohmers because they are theifs. After i checked arround with other companys and customers it appears i am not there first con. OH and my house is flooded again from the same pipe same place. DO NOT BE FOOLED they are not plumbers! I have had Kurt Bohmer's Plumbing out to my house for three different plumbing issues and every time the problem/work done was in a very timely manner. I had previously had other plumbing companies out for the same problems and they could not fix it. Their techs have been very polite and knowledgeable. I feel that the price charged was very reasonable for the work that was completed. I would highly recommend them. Pros: very professional and qualified plumbers more

It was hot I brought these guys cold drinks several times, yet in the end I got screwed, they said I should install a riser three sections at $75.00 per section ,,,said they would be back next day,, another guy shows up said it was $300.00 with the lid, this is after he called the other guys on the other truck to discuss the charge, I over herd him say he always charged $225.00 for them. I paid the $300.00 so $640 total. Pros: the showed up when the said the would, that was it. Cons: they had to use a camera to find tank,,thu pipe, $100.00 more

Kurt Bohmer's office staff was very professional. They quoted me $450 for the job but when the statement of my Discover card arrived they had charged me $600. I called them and they investigated and refunded the $140.00 promptly, and that was the professional thing to do. It seems that the job took longer than they expected and their man came all the way up to Lake Elizabeth and spent a long time finding the sceptic tank. I had had some trouble with the toilett in my 1st floor apartment that seems to have gone away after the cleaning of the sceptic tank by Kurt Bohmer. I would recommend their services. more

Talk about a mess.We sprung a leak on the weekend. Thank goodness they have emergency repair service 24/7. Made the call and in less than an hour, we had some one at our door. They fixed the problem not a patch and at minimal expense. I figured we would pay more on the weekend but if so I could tell as what he charged was less than the estimate over the phone from some one else. Highly recommend him. more

Be warned - Our water heater started to leak while I was out of town. My wife call Kurt Bohmer plumbing and arranged for them to come out. They proceeded to overcharged her by at least $400 based on other quotes I later obtained. We may have been able to live with this if the work was stellar and prompt, but it was not.
