Kruger's Jeweler's in Barton Creek Square Mall has outstanding customer service. Melvin is extremely nice and knowledgable. He recently worked with me to find a replacement wedding ring. The ring was relatively inexpensive, but he still took time and attention to make sure that I got the exact ring that I wanted. I highly recommend Kruger's and I will send my friends and family there in the future. more

I have always had my own personal jeweler other than Kruger's. I walked into Kruger's with my own diamond to have it set they (Melvin and Lane) not only took more than 2 hours to help choose a setting but Lane taught me to read the wisps and Melvin made sure once my diamond was returned I could see the wisps and identify that it was my ring. Upon returning once again, Jim Kruger personally sat down with me to make sure that I had been taken care of on a personal level. As a business owner Kruger's and Staff by far beat all I have gone to.....I can't even count the jewelers on 2 hands but it took one time walking into Kruger's. I went to see Jim Kruger a year ago to pick out an engagement ring for my (now) fianc?e knowing next to nothing about rings, or diamonds. Jim was extremely patient and helpful and I ended up finding a unique ring unlike anything I have seen. My fianc?e is constantly getting compliments on the ring and when I went back this month to buy our wedding bands I got the same treatment. Every time we go in there, everyone is so wonderful to us. Anything we need cleaned or repaired is treated with the greatest of care. I feel like I have found a friend for life and they definitely have found a customer for life. more

We purchased my engagement ring from Jim Kruger at Kruger Jewelers over 24 years ago. To this day, everywhere I go someone comments on how beautiful my ring is. Today I was looking for some 1 ct TW diamond studs. I've been shopping around for about a year and today was the day. I was at Barton Creek Mall looking at all the pre holiday sales and started in the "chain" jewelery stores. I knew my budget so I wanted to compare prices and quality for the money. My husband has been looking to upgrade my wedding band for a while. There is only one place in Austin that he will go to. KRUGERS!!! Jim and his staff are always helpful and polite. We first purchased diamonds from them 3 years ago and havent gone anywhere else since. Today I got the most beautiful Diamond. Twice the the size of my original. I've been looking for several years now for jewelery with my birthstone and other pieces that would go with jewelry I already own. I've found a small selection and the same old thing in other stores. I visited Krugers in the Barton Creek Mall 12/13/2009. As soon as I entered the store Mr. Jim Kruger met me with a smile. The customer service was exceptional he took the time to listen to what I like, within a minute he knew the ring that was for me, he even knew my ring size by just looking at my hand. He hand picks all of his peices and they are beautiful. I have been to many jewlery stores and i have never seen so many unique extrodinaryi beuatiful peices. Even though I did not buy my dream ring, that is definatly where me and my husband will be going for my new wedding ring. The peices are some of the most beautiful peices i have ever seen. When you buy from Krugers you know you are going to have a one of a kind, and everyone is going to be asking where you got that peice of jewlery. Go to Krugers you will not be disappointed. more

We visited Kruger's jewelers Saturday 12/5 for the first time due to my receiving a gift card after donating blood at the blood center . Upon entering the store Mr. Kruger approached us right away introducing himself and asking our names. He saw my gift card and asked how I had received it? He began telling us thst he was also was a faithful blood donar and that he felt this was very important. He was so kind o my family and made our vist there so special. I told him that was all the money I could spend at that time and he took his time to make sure I found something that would have the most meaning to me. We had just gone to the mall to window shop and left the mall receiving such a wonderful blessing. That's what Christmas is all about. By the way I've not taken the bracelet off since he put it on. Jimmy Kruger and his staff are all incredibly nice, caring people who really strive to provide you the best service possible. They have everything from watches to diamonds to everything in between. My husband bought my wedding ring here and I am constantly getting compliments on it. I also bought my bridesmaids beautiful, handmade, custom earrings from Kruger's and they love them. They wear them all of the time! Every time I go to Kruger's I find at least 5 different things I want. And all of the salespeople there are knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They are never stuffy or condescending. I'm pretty young (only 24) and I've been to other jewelry stores where I've had the displeasure of receiving unpleasant treatment because of my age. I have never had that kind of unfortunate response from anyone at Kruger's. They recognize each shopper as a special person and treat everyone who comes in their door with respect. I've received handwritten notes and coupons in the mail from them. And every time I go in, they recognize me and are welcoming. I had the best experience when choosing a design for my new wedding ring. After 22 years of Marriage I needed new bling!! The first time I stopped in Kruger's, there was no pressure and we had fun trying on rings and looking at diamond sizes, my husband was with me and he noticed we were not pounced on when we entered, only greeted with a smile and a kind patience. After shopping every jewelery store in the mall we were so tired of the pressure sales. What a relaxing experience it was to walk into Kruger's that friday night. I returned one week later after shopping all over town comparing price, and quality and of course the staff. The staff at Kruger's were so careful in helping me choose the style of ring and then went all out searching for the perfect gem. A Yellow Sapphire that makes you wear shades because it is so bright, the cut and size are fantastic, and the band with Trapazoid diamonds and Micro pave set diamonds all come together in the most beautiful Vintage/ Antique design. I had so much fun my skin tingled. I couldn't sleep that night, and when I came back the next day to make sure I had made the right choice, there was no pressure, only more kind, gentle assistance to make the final choice. When I said I needed a little more bling, they smiled & helped me make a choice that not only fit my budget but made my heart skip a beat. I will always cherish my first wedding ring and will pass it on to one of my daughters, but this new ring will have to be pried from my finger. P.S. My husband surprisingly told all his co workers how amazing my ring was, he does't get into jewelery but this experience truely impressed him, and he is not easily impressed.......TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!! I recently was in the market for an engagement ring and I stumbled across Kruger's in the Barton Creek Mall. I didn't really know what I was looking for but that quickly changed. With no pressure at all, Melvin explained to me how to judge a diamond. He spoke to me in terms I could understand and didn't try and throw out jargon like some other places I went. I have to repeat that he put no pressure on me to buy anything at all, he truly wanted me to be educated about any diamond purchase I made, even if it wasn't in his. The owner Jim was in the store and Melvin introduced us and told him what I was looking for. Jim gave me some advice and he talked to me as a friend and not as a customer. I really appreciated this and the no hassle looking. If youre looking for a diamond or just interested in what to look for, go in to talk with these guys. They have a great selection of diamonds at lower prices than every jeweler I went to, especially in the mall, believe me I shopped around. I may have been able to get one on-line for a fraction cheaper but seriously who wants to buy a diamond you havent seen in person or deal with the return policy if the diamond is of poor quality. I worked for David Kruger for a few years and loved every minute of it. When it comes to a business that really knows about customer service, this is the place. The downtown location is a very special store with some of the friendliest employees in town. Although it has been over ten years since I worked for David, I can't stop going back there. The reason I am writing this review is because they deserve it. In todays world people are so fast paced and seem to have forgotten what good customer service feels like. I was just at the mall and noticed my watch had broken a pin and came off my rist. Having dealt with jewelry repairs before I knew this would for sure be a pain and the first place I went would in no way have what I needed to fix it as it is not a Iron Man watch. I was pleasently surprised when I went into Krugers and was instantly welcomed and greeted with a hand shake. He took my watch and said "no problem!" The watch was ready before I was even through looking at their amazing inventory! The price was unbelieveable and he said just think of us for your next purchase. What? Kruger's Jewelry store located in Barton Creek Mall is a locally owned company (it?s good to invest in Austin, Tx.). Jim Kruger, the owner, talked to me about what type of jewelry I was wanting and said come back tomorrow and I will have what you?re looking for. He was true to his word and I made my purchase the next day. Jim Kruger is down to earth and a truly caring individual very involved in helping our community. My fiance and I went in to Kruger's based on a friend's recommendation and we were so pleased. We fell in love with a stone and purchased it immediately. I left the store bummed that I couldn't wear it out with me and Jim Kruger surprised us an hour later with the stone set in a temporary mounting! That really made our weekend and will definitely be using them for all of our "sparkly" needs. more
