My animals (dogs and cats both) have been staying here off and on for 4 years now and I cant complain! My dogs always come home tired and happy after a day at Daycare, albeit a bit dirty from romping around outside with their buddies! Unlike some other Daycares, Kozy Kennels has a large outside yard for the dogs which I love. I dont want my dogs cooped up inside all day if Im paying for Daycare. Of course they have an Indoor area as well attached to the yard, complete with dog couches, an electric fireplace, and the TV always has animal friendly movies on for the dogs. My cats get a large condo to themselves, with shelves to jump up on (if you know anything about Cat Comfort, you know they NEED vertical space to be comfortable!)\r They also work with rescue groups to provide kennel space when they need it, and I often see Rescue group dogs in Daycare when I drop off my dogs. I think that is AWESOME!. The core staff seems to have remained the same while Ive been coming, and they are always very nice and caring about the animals.\r The overnight facility is great too, warm and clean with a radio playing at all times. I can even board both my large dogs in the same kennel so they dont have to be apart, as they have several sizes of kennels available. Overall, it may not look like much when you pull up, but you cant judge a book by its cover. The facility is good, prices are good, and the staff is very personable and attentive. I enjoy coming here, and dont plan to leave them anytime soon :) more

We call this the ""dog party"" because our pets are excited to get out of the car and see the friendly staff each time they are boarded at Kozy. Our dogs, Molly and Webster, have been visiting Kozy regularly their entire lives, for weekends as well as for 2-week vacations. Molly is 7 and Webster is 15. We've had other cats and dogs over the years as well and have used Kozy Kennels since 1990. Kozy is not at all fancy, but I am always confident that my pets are in a clean and safe environment, that they will come home healthy and that the staff is attentive to their individual needs. more

Dogs liked it, but there were consquences 2/22/2012

I used Kozy Kennel a few times this last year and the dogs always seem pretty happy there. They weren't traumatized when I picked them up, and they seemed to be happy enough to arrive. However... one dog is on a strict diet and must have only one kind of food. They obviously did not give him the food I brought because I have been cleaning unpleasant messes off of my carpet for three days now and he is just not stabilizing. I brought the food, labeled the bag, and provided explicit feeding instructions. I'm very disappointed that they couldn't follow that simple instruction. So now I paid for the kennel... plus have to pay for carpet cleaning service. I just can't go back there again and have to start a new search for another kennel. more

My dog likes it! 8/4/2011

Our dog has been staying here for 9 years. I can't say she loves it because she can't talk. But she wags her tail when she gets there even though she looks at me like a 3 year old leaving. But on return she looks great, she is grinning from ear to ear, she doesn't smell. I can tell she likes the people who work there by her welcoming and leaving reaction. We've had a bad experience elsewhere early on and from the beginning through various employees have always felt our dog was safe and cared for. more

Not so kozy 11/12/2007

We have boarded our 3-yr-old lab at Kozy Kennels twice since we moved to this area. His first stay was for one night, and it went well. Pros: Fair prices for Redmond area Cons: Unacceptable disciplining methods more

Good but the extra fees really bite 7/25/2007

We've used Kozy Kennels a few times now and have been pretty happy with them. However, this last time, they nickel-and-dimed us for everything. $15/day extra for a 30-minute walk; an extra $4 each time we wanted our dog to receive medication; $20 extra for the ""daycare"" option, which allows your pup to lounge in their ""family room"" environment, complete with couches and TVs. For an indoor dog, this can make the difference between a comfortable stay or a traumatic one, so I really didn't feel like I could opt out. But these services really add up! The kennel fees cost almost as much as our vacation! I am now looking for another kennel because I feel like they are going overboard with all these extra costs. It's a shame because it has been a nice kennel. I'm very disappointed in these additional fees. Pros: Environment, Seem to treat dogs OK Cons: Extra fees to make life bearable for your pooch more

Kozy Kennels 1/7/2007

These people are just amazing. Excellent service, very friendly, loves there clients. We moved here from out of state & had family taking care of our oldest dog. We were very hesitant on leaving her in a kennel for the first time. We searched lots of places including far out of the way not knowing the best place was right by where we live. She was taken care of so well that she didn't even notice we were gone. We now have 2 boxers & they both happy going there & very well taken care of. Shane even went out of his way to take care of our little guy by taking him to the vet to get his cast replaced when it came off while visiting there. They will go beyond out of there way to make the pet (s) visit very happy & welcoming. The prices are reasonable also. its a small place which makes it harder to get reservations but excellent choice. I have referred several people & they are also extremely happy with there service. Pros: great service, happy dogs, fed & taken care of very well, excellent service, Shane is awesome more

Smiling dogs 12/13/2006

My dogs have been staying at Kozy Kennels for five years. Though both of my dogs aren't particularly sociable, they seem to enjoy the time at Kozy. No signs of stress on the way in or on the way out. Pros: Lots of individual attention Cons: Extra charge for own food, booked early on holidays more

Best kennel ever 12/7/2006

Before we took our dog to Kozy Kennels we went to a few other kennels and our dog did not do well. She wouldn't eat and lost weight. I also paid extra for a 15 min. walk and apparently she wouldn't go to the bathroom in her kennel and would save it for the one walk she was on. When we took her to Kozy Kennels for the first time we were amazed at how happy she was. She actually gained weight and was so happy to go that we were old news. Now when she sees me driving down their road she starts to get excited; she absolutely loves the staff! Shane is great and makes it an awesome kennel because he is so friendly and loves animals. We were at Marymoore once and she saw Shane and got super excited! He was just as happy to see her. Pros: Friendly staff, play time is free, cheap prices, they keep my dog happy =o) more

Kozy Kennels is awesome 10/24/2006

We've been driving out of the way to take our dog to Kozy Kennels for years now. They are personable, professional, very low-key, and love animals! We particularly appreciate Shane's great service. He went above and beyond when our dog got sick and took him to the vet and got him taken care of. We were kept in the loop and it made our vacation stress-free knowing our furry baby was being taken care of. They book up way in advance so call early! Good job, guys! Thanks! more

they don't even need to advertise 3/19/2004

This kennel was recommended to me by many people at my work (Microsoft) and after visiting about 10 different kennels this was my top pick by far. It's fairly small, the dogs get a lot of attention, and it's affordable. The staff really seems to care about the dogs and their owners - they spent a long time with me showing me the facilities and introducing my dogs to their temporary home (I went on vacation for 2 weeks). They seemed to have fun there and I feel no hesitation sending them there again. Pros: small, affordable, caring more
